Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water” Genesis 7:17 No matter what judgement or tragedy befalls this world, please know, Christian, that the ark of your salvation, preservation, and safety is always floating, peacefully, "on the surface of the water.” In Jesus Christ, our risen and indwelling Savior, we have been given a new life as a new creation in the new cove

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth” Genesis 7:17 When God's water of judgement finally came upon the earth, this was the same water which lifted and saved Noah's family in the ark "so that it rose above the earth." The word of God in Jesus Christ, which this world rejects, is the same word that we have received and, as a result, we have

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark” Genesis 6:18 “And the Lord closed it behind him.” Genesis 7:16 When Noah entered the ark with his family and all of the living beings, God closed the door behind them, meaning that God sealed the deal on the covenant He made with Noah, and the world Noah had lived in was now forever behind him. Praise God, when you and I received Jesus Christ, entering the ar

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark” Genesis 6:18 Hallelujah! When you and I walk with God, as Noah did, seeing the favor and grace of our Lord God’s eyes, as Noah did, then we are enabled to behold God’s New Covenant made with us through the blood of our resurrected Savior, even as Noah behold God’s covenant made with him. Now all that remains is for us to enter the ark, as Noah did. In the

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “When the Helper comes, Whom I will send from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me” John 15:26 God’s Holy Spirit, our Helper, is inside of us right now testifying of Jesus. God’s Holy Spirit is telling us constantly, in every way, to: look to Jesus, trust Jesus, praise Jesus, understand Jesus, walk in the yoke of rest with Jesus. This is the best help our Helper can help us w

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “And you are unwilling to come to Me so that you might have life” John 5:40 Our Savior spoke these words to religious leaders who conscientiously studied Scripture, but missed the point of Scripture. The goal of their study seemed to be the knowledge of doctrine and theology for it’s own sake. But there was no life in that at all. Jesus showed them the next step, which they should have been taking, with their search of Scripture. He

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me” John 5:39 The religious experts of Jesus’ day had made a big mistake in their approach to Scripture. They thought that life was received in the understanding of the words. But the words were lifeless without the Word of God, Jesus Christ. Jesus told them that the Scriptures testified of Him. The casual reader may no

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” Revelation 19:10 The spirit, the purpose, of all prophecy throughout Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, is “the testimony of Jesus.” Every word uttered by God has It’s ultimate goal being that of testifying and revealing Christ to us and to this world. Let us gratefully approach and read the whole of God’s word in this same simple and direct way. Let us receive and understand

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face continually” Psalm 105:4 Seeking after God’s face strengthens us in “His strength.” When we continually seek after God’s face, this means we are always beholding Him, “fixing our eyes upon Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2). This also means, perhaps even more importantly, that God’s face is always towards us when we seek Him. We are not seeking after the back of God’s head. No, we are seeking His fa

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those that seek the Lord be glad” Psalm 105:3 Oh if only the hearts of all of God’s people were glad right now, this would help so much, for our own lives and for our testimony, with power, of Jesus Christ to this world. This Scripture gives us such a simple, perhaps even childlike, yet direct and decisive way for us to “be glad,” even in the midst of this world and troubling times. Let us gl
