Glory In His Name

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those that seek the Lord be glad”

Psalm 105:3

Oh if only the hearts of all of God’s people were glad right now, this would help so much, for our own lives and for our testimony, with power, of Jesus Christ to this world. 

This Scripture gives us such a simple, perhaps even childlike, yet direct and decisive way for us to “be glad,” even in the midst of this world and troubling times. Let us glory in His holy name - let us give all our trust to Him so all our joy may be in Him, Who “first loved us” (1 John 4:19). 

Let us know and experience the abundance of life we have entered into because of Jesus “Christ, Who is our life” (Colossians 3:4). Jesus is our life, our way, our truth, every day of our lives, if only we will let Him be. 

“Follow Me” is His constant word to us so, by all means, let us glory continuously in His holy name for He is the only true glory there is and, praise His name, He has given Himself to us that we might know Him. Knowing this, it can only be all joy for us to “seek the Lord” with our heart and, in this light, we only can be glad, for we know the One Whom we seek. 

We have tasted and seen “that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8) so, because we do glory in His name, we press on, seeking the Lord with our heart every day and this is our eternal spring of gladness, the ever approaching to our Lord of love that we may see and know more of Him Whom we glory in.
