Walking With God, Looking Into His Eyes, & Seeing Grace

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God” Genesis 6:9 For the past two days I have been sharing the great blessing with you, of Noah finding favor and grace in the eyes of the Lord (Genesis 6:8), and how this truth is for us today in our Lord Jesus Christ! This following verse, that we are looking at today from Genesis 6:9, shows us, in our own lives, how we may find meaningful favor and grace every day in God’s eyes towards us. Here it is: walk with God. Yes! Let us walk with God through this day so we may be close enough to behold the favor and grace of our Lord towards us and over us. “Noah walked with God.” When we w

Walking with Grace And Favor

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord” Genesis 6:8 This verse from Genesis shows us that God’s grace has always been intended to be a saving grace. Noah walked with God and God loved Noah. When destruction came upon the earth, because of the wickedness of man, Noah was exempt, because of the grace and favor of God. So, Noah was saved by grace, and so are you and I. “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)” (Ephesians 2: 4-5). You and I, in this day, are walking with God and God loves us with “

Finding Favor In God’s Eyes Today

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord” Genesis 6:8 This verse from Genesis came right after God had said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the earth” (vs. 7). Mankind was reveling in wickedness, but not Noah. Rather than being led into wickedness with the world, Noah was spending time with God, and Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. We can look at this beautiful verse in two ways. First, and most obvious, is that God looked upon Noah with favor. “Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” Secondly though, is that Noah walked with God, in fellowship, worship, and devotion. As Noah walked with God, and knew God,

Let God Take You Someplace Special With Himself Today

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” Genesis 5:24 Every day in our walk with God we are offered the blessing of “he was not, for God took him.” Jesus said “Come to Me... and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28-29). When we step into the yoke of Jesus and walk with God, we are blessedly set free from the bondage of self, even as we learn of our gracious Lord’s gentle and humble heart towards us. What a beautiful exchange, from being self-absorbed to being Christ-filled, that God offers us. In this way “we are not,

Receive The Blessing Of “He Was Not, For God Took Him.”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” Genesis 5:24 I love this verse of Scripture. On the outside, this verse tells us that Enoch walked so closely with God that “he was not, for God took him,’ which is generally interpreted to mean that Enoch did not die, for God “took him” directly to be with Himself. On the inside, this verse tells us that walking closely with our God today, means that we reach a place where “we are not, for God takes us.” This is precisely what ministering to the Lord is all about. We are walking with God, in His presence, as His “royal priesthood” (1st Peter 2:9),and “we are not,” for we have blessedly come t

Cultivating The Garden Of Life Within You

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man. and said to him, ‘Where are you?’ He said, ‘I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself’” Genesis 3:8-10 God created Adam and Eve for a life with Himself. He gave them the garden of Eden to live in and cultivate, and then He came to the garden to fellowship with them. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, our Savior, you and I have been re-created and have become beloved children of

No Need To Hide From The Presence Of The Lord

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man. and said to him, ‘Where are you?’ He said, ‘I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself’” Genesis 3:8-10 There is no need for any child of God to hide “from the presence of the Lord God” out of fear. The apostle John wrote about our most blessed freedom from fear, because of our Lord God Jesus Christ, saying “We love, because He first loved us. There is no fear in love; but perfe

Let Us Meet With God In The Garden Today

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man. and said to him, ‘Where are you?’” Genesis 3:8-9 From the very beginning, God has stated His desire that we would all live in close, intimate fellowship with Him. This is certainly a large part of God’s declaration, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness” in Genesis 1:26. “Let us” and “according to our likeness” imply divine fellowship, and unity, within the Godhead of Father, Son and Spirit. So, for you and I

Living A “First Fruits” Life For God

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb” Revelation 14:3-4 Praise God! let us do everything that we see these redeemed saints in heaven doing, so we may also live as “first fruits to God and to the Lamb” today and every day. Yes, let us sing our “new song,” of what Jesus Christ has done for us and of who He has made us to be in Him! Let us be His k

Singing Your New Song & Following The Lamb Wherever He Goes

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb” Revelation 14:3-4 Oh hallelujah! Let us follow the Lamb wherever He goes! This is the best invitation and advice we could ever receive. Yes, let us follow the Lamb. We have been “purchased from the earth” for our gracious Abba Father by the blood of our Savior Jesus, and God has put a “new song” in our heart

Our Identity, Our Priesthood & Our New Song

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb” Revelation 14:3-4 Yesterday we beheld an awesome scene in heaven where “twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, and they sang a new song” (Revelation 5:8-9). The words of this “new song” of praise and adoration to our Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, included, “You were slain, and purchased for God with Your

Singing The New Song Of Our Priesthood

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “The twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying, ‘Worthy are You to take the book and break the seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth’” Revelation 5:8-10 This is the glorious “new song” that the elders sang to Jesus Christ in this Scripture: “Worthy are You!” God has placed this “new song” in our hearts too, hasn’t He? Yes, we have received within u

Reigning Upon The Earth As God’s Kingdom Of Priests

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “The twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth’” Revelation 5:8-10 Jesus Christ, our Lamb of God, is being praised by the twenty-four elders in heaven specifically because He was slain and purchased, with His Own blood, people for God in order that we would be “a

“For This Reason” I Am A Minister To The Lord

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, ‘These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?’ I said to him, ‘My lord, you know.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.’” Revelation 7:13-15 According to this passage of Scripture, what is the one and only “reason” why these redeemed saints “are before the throne of God; and they

Ministering To The Lord Is Giving God His Heart’s Desire

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, ‘These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?’ I said to him, ‘My lord, you know.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.’” Revelation 7:13-15 This amazing portrait of washed “in the blood” Christians arriving in heaven, and “for this reason” ministering to the Lord “in His temple,

Day & Night In His Temple, God Spreads His Tabernacle Over Us

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, ‘These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?’ I said to him, ‘My lord, you know.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Putting On Our Priestly Inner Court Linen Garments

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “When they enter at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments... they shall not gird themselves with anything that makes them sweat. When they go out into the outer court, into the court of the people, they shall put off their garments in which they have been ministering and lay them in holy chambers; then they shall put on other garments” Ezekiel 44: 17-19 In the Old Testament, the priests of the Lord from the sons of Zadok, who were blessed and rewarded by God to minister to the Lord in the inner court (Ezekiel 44:15-16), had specific garments to wear in God’s presence, of linen, that were worn only for ministering to

Living With Our God In A “Most Holy Place”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “It shall be the holy portion of the land; it shall be for the priests, the ministers of the sanctuary, who come near to minister to the Lord, and it shall be a place for their houses and a holy place for the sanctuary” Ezekiel 45:3 How important, and special, does God consider ministering to the Lord? In this portion of Scripture, from Ezekiel 45: 1-8, God spoke of dividing the land around the temple. First mentioned, before the allotment for the prince and the 12 tribes, was the “holy allotment” (Ezekiel 48:10) for the sanctuary of God and for “the ministers of the sanctuary, who come near to minister to the Lord.” God wanted His ministers of the i

“Where I Am, My Servant Will Be Also”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also” John 12:26 “I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also” John 14:3 God’s will is for us to be with Jesus, both here and now on earth, and forever with Him in heaven, bless His holy name. Yesterday I shared with you our Savior’s words from John, chapter 17, where Jesus prayed to His Father, “I desire that they also, whom you have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory” (John 17:24). I have been emphasizing these past few days that Jesus’ stated “desire” for us in this verse, to be with Him and to see H
