“Be With Me Where I Am”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world” John 17:24 On the eve of His crucifixion, towards the close of His great priestly prayer to His Abba Father, Jesus expressed His Own “desire,” that all that the Father had given Him, which includes us, would “be with Me where I am.” When you and I minister unto the Lord, we are being with Him where He is, with Jesus our High Priest, in the presence of our Abba Father, through the Holy Spirit temple within us. So, I hope you can clearly see how we, of our own free w

“I Am Their Possession”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “And it shall be with regard to an inheritance for them, that I am their inheritance; and you shall give them no possession in Israel - I am their possession” Ezekiel 44:18 The Lord is our inheritance. The Lord is our possession. As ministers to our Lord, being God’s present day “royal priesthood” (1st Peter 2:9), we are given a front row seat to continuously behold this great truth. Every time we step into our “inner room” (Matthew 6:6) we are in the presence of our God, Who is our inheritance and our possession. He, Himself, is our reward! Hallelujah! This understanding, which is for all of God’s children, is particularly received when one responds

“I Am Their Inheritance”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “And it shall be with regard to an inheritance for them, that I am their inheritance; and you shall give them no possession in Israel - I am their possession” Ezekiel 44:18 This was God’s most wonderful word of blessing and reward, His “with Me” reward (Revelation 22:12), given to His most faithful ministers of the inner court. They shall have no possessions for “I am their possession.” At this time in history, there had been a great falling away from the Lord throughout the levitical priesthood, except for the family of Zadok. “The levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from Me, shal

His Reward Is With Him

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Behold, the Lord God will come with might, with His arm ruling for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him and His recompense before Him. Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, in His arm He will gather the lambs and carry them in His bosom; He will gently lead the nursing ewes” Isaiah 40:10-11 I praise my God that “His reward is with Him!’ Yesterday I shared a bit concerning the nature of God’s reward to us, His beloved children. This was in reference to Jesus’ instructing us to go into “your inner room” to meet with “your Father who is in secret,” and that “your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you” (Matthew 6:6). I also shared Jesu

Our Inner Room Reward

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you” Matthew 6:6 God rewards us when we go into our “inner room” to pray to our “Father who is in secret!” Our reward is immediate, far ranging, and lasts forever. Being in God’s presence is our reward. We are blessed to be with Him, in His presence, and being with Him steadily changes us into His image. Old things pass away and new things come when we are in His presence. Abundant life is in His presence. Joy unspeakable and full of glory, and the peace that passes understanding are in

Our Father Who Is In Secret

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you” Matthew 6:6 Let us meet daily, joyfully, and continually, with our “Father who is in secret.” We meet with our Abba Father in our “inner room” and here the blessings flow. We are in His presence. Many may be content to only say “Our Father who is in heaven,” which is how Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:9, but the true seeker of God wants more. The true seeker is not content to leave the Father up in heaven. How many recognize and understand that, prior to teaching us how to pr

Go Into Your Inner Room And Close The Door

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you” Matthew 6:6 Yesterday I shared with you concerning our understanding of where our “inner room” is and, of course, the big clue is the word “inner.” While some may view the inner room only in terms of the proverbial prayer closet, I see the inner room as the “inner room” - It is the room within us, the inner court of the temple, where we meet with God as priests in His presence to minister to Him. A prayer closet may be fine, although the term sounds a bit dark and confining to me,

Your Inner Room Is The Room Within You

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you” Matthew 6:6 Perhaps you have read these words of Jesus, from the sermon on the mount, many times. I encourage you to read these words now and understand them within the light of your being a minister to the Lord. Right away we realize that the “inner room” is not necessarily the traditional “prayer closet” that so many think it is, although having a specific spot for prayer can be so beneficial. What our Savior said was “when you pray, go into your inner room.” Your inner room is t

Keeping Alert With An Attitude Of Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving” Colossians 4:2 Entering God’s presence “with an attitude of thanksgiving” will always keep you alert. Alert to what, you may ask? Alert to God, to His presence, His power, His provision, and above all, to His magnificent Person. Without thanksgiving, without being alert to what is really happening, one’s prayer life could easily devolve into a self-aware expression of worry and doubt. Genuine thanksgiving is always and only about our gracious God. While some people’s style may be to emphasize, “here I AM to pray and praise you” (unknowingly encouraging more self-cente

Carrying His Presence With You Throughout Your Day

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving. Let us shout joyfully to Him with Psalms” Psalm 95:2 Once more we see that entering God’s presence, with awareness and understanding, is cause for great joy and thanksgiving on our part! For the past two days I have been sharing with you from the 100th Psalm which declares, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise” (Vs 4). Entering His gates and courts, the gates and courts of the temple, is synonymous with our coming before “His presence with thanksgiving.” For you and I, as blood washed and Spirit filled New Covenant children of God, we know that God’s presence dwells within u

Seeing That God’s Lovingkindness Is Everlasting

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations” Psalm 100:4-5 Would you like to live your Christian life absolutely sure, and without ever a doubt, that “His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations?” There is only one way; “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise” now and everyday. Why? Well, how else can we confess that His lovingkindness is everlasting unless we start now and let God begin to show us, in His presence, without fail, that indeed His lovin

Enter His Gates With Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name” Psalm 100:4 Praise God - now here’s the best and certainly the most affirmative way to enter the presence of God, with thanksgiving and praise. The “gates’ and “courts” spoken of in this verse were in the temple of God. For us, as God’s New Covenant children, as His kingdom of priests (Revelation 1:6), we know the “courts” are now within us, as we have now become a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16, 2 Corinthians 6:16). As I often say, “ministering to the Lord” (Acts 13:2) is our praising with a purpose. Of course let me hasten to add that,

A Minister In The Sanctuary

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the majesty in the heavens, a minister in the sanctuary and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man” Hebrews 8:1-2 Jesus Christ, our High Priest, is a “minister in the sanctuary,” so when you and I minister to the Lord, we are joining Him, in spirit, in the inner court, “the sanctuary,” of our inner being. For us, as God’s acknowledged priesthood, this has certainly become our “true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.” No man could ever make us a priest to our God. But our Lord Jesus Christ,

We Have Such a High Priest

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the majesty in the heavens” Hebrews 8:1 I love that, after writing about Jesus our High Priest solidly since chapter 2, the author of Hebrews states in chapter eight, “now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest.” Please believe me when I say that, for our own daily benefit, we always need to remind ourselves, and to gently remind all of our Christian brothers and sisters, that this Jesus Whom we talk about - He is here now. He is real now. He is indwelling us now. We need to abide i

Have Confidence To Enter The Holy Place

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart” Hebrew 10: 19-22 Jesus Christ, our glorious Savior and High Priest, has opened up “the holy place” for us, through His own blood, specifically so we will “have confidence to enter.” This Scripture is exhorting us all to “draw near” to our High Priest in the holy place which has been opened up for us “by the blood of Christ.” When you minister as a priest to your Lord, do you see from this Scr

Jesus, Our High Priest Of Our Priesthood

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens” Hebrews 7:26 God invites us, indeed desires us, to know our High Priest, intimately and in detail. God wants all Christians to know that, in fact, we do have a High Priest, our Savior Jesus Christ. And God’s word says that it is “fitting for us to have such a high priest.” Our High Priest is “exalted above the heavens.” Everyone and everything in heaven exalts Jesus Christ, our High Priest of the body of Christ. At the very moment of our new birth we became a member, a priest, in His Own kingdom of priests, dedicated

I Will Keep Watch To See What He Will Speak To Me

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “I will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart; and I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me” Habakkuk 2:1 Hallelujah, my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, when you and I minister to our Lord in His presence we are standing on our guard post! What God reveals to us of Himself through His word, as we are in His presence, keeping watch, is not only for our benefit, as individual priests, but is indeed a great benefit for the entire body of Christ, to keep God’s church safe from harm by perpetually directing all true believers to our ark of safety in Christ. This is how I “station myself” before our Lord, as a disciple of

Jesus Our High Priest Is Interceding For Us

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” Hebrews 7:24-25 Whenever we are “ministering to the Lord” (Acts 13:2), we are actually drawing near to God our Father “through Him,” through Jesus Christ our High Priest, in the Spirit of our living God. It is within the inner court of our being, as we are drawing “near to God through Him,” ministering as a priest in our High Priest’s presence, that a constant river flows to us; of life, love, and of the assurance concerning our

How Blessed We Are To Bless The Lord

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Now when these things have been so prepared, The priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle performing the divine worship” Hebrews 9:6 Yesterday I shared with you that, as a kingdom of priests unto our God (2 Peter 2:9, Revelation 1:5-6) we have been awakened to this great privilege, which is extended to all of God’s children, this ministry and response to God our Father, this grace of our “continually entering” His presence “performing the divine worship.” We are so blessed, as His royal priesthood, as responsive and obedient ministers of the inner court, to experience in God’s presence “divine worship” unto our Lord, for His glory and w

Performing The Divine Worship

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Now when these things have been so prepared, the priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle performing the divine worship” Hebrews 9:6 Praise You Lord that you have made us in this day, your children, to be “a royal priesthood” (2 Peter 2:9) so we may all be “continually entering the outer tabernacle performing divine worship!” Oh thank You Jesus! The context of this portion of Hebrews chapter nine was about the old and the new, concerning how the old testament temple service has been fulfilled in Jesus Christ, our Messiah of the New Covenant; “when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come” (Hebrews 9:11). Indeed all of
