Merciful And Faithful

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God” Hebrews 2:17 Thank You Lord! It is amazing to see the depth of our Savior’s love for us in His becoming like us “in all things” so He might be “merciful and faithful” to God on our behalf. Jesus Christ, our High Priest, in love chose to live as us amongst us so that, in addition to being “faithful” to God, He would be “merciful” towards us. This is what our priesthood is intended to produce in us as we minister to God; faithfulness to our Lord and mercy towards people. This is a special quality specif

Learning Of Jesus, Our High Priest

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “We do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things, as we are, yet without sin” Hebrews 4:15 Yesterday I shared with you the word, in Hebrews 3:1, for us to “consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession,” along with the truth that, our recognizing ourselves as a kingdom of priests, ministering to the Lord, “partakers of a heavenly calling,” awakens us to our own interest in, realization and understanding of the “High Priest of our confession,” Jesus Christ. Learning of Jesus, as our High Priest, helps us immensely as we minister to the Lord, and as we live among people.

Partakers Of A Heavenly Calling

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession” Hebrews 3:1 Certainly one of the greatest aspects and benefits of our having been loved, released “from our sins by His blood,” and made “to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father” (as we are told in Revelation 1:5-6), is that Jesus Christ, Himself, is the High Priest of this “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9). So, when you say yes to God’s love, salvation, and His making us to be a kingdom of priests, accepting the mantle of your priesthood to minister to the Lord in His presence, this truly becomes the key that unlocks the do

Ministering To The Lord Is A Call-Of-Love Higher Truth

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them’” Acts 13:2 By God’s grace, you have been blessedly “set apart for Me.” As God’s loved and blood washed children, Scripture declares that “He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father” (Revelation 1:6). This is what God has always wanted and now, in us as the body of Christ, this is what God has. Yet so many ignore this call of our Father, to minister to Him as a kingdom of priests. So when you, of your own free will, say “Yes” to your priesthood, you bless your Abba Father so much.

“Set Apart For Me”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them’” Acts 13:2 Praise God, you have been chosen by your loving Savior, Jesus Christ, to be “Set apart for Me.” Let God whisper in your ear as you minister to Him, “My beloved child, I have set you apart for Me.” Ministering to the Lord, in its simplest and purest form, is our realization and agreement with God that we indeed have been set apart for Him. We are set apart for God when we enter His Presence, to minister to Him and to be filled with the light of His countenance. Then, in His Presence, as we

Ministering To The Lord Is A First Ministry

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them’” Acts 13:2 Ministering to the Lord is my first ministry and it is such a total joy to say so. To willingly accept, rejoice in, and practice this priesthood, realizing that it is in His Presence that our own fullness of joy resides (Acts 2:28), is always a humbling blessing. It is a blessing to come and bless His Holy Name, before anything else, knowing that it is in His Presence, as we minister to Him, because we are a kingdom of priests to Him (Relation 1:6), that His Holy Spirit is powerfully enab

Ministering To The Lord

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them’” Acts 13:2 The apostle Paul, still know then as Saul, was with “prophets and teachers” (Acts 13:1) from the church of Antioch. What were these church leaders collectively doing together? They were ministering to the Lord. They were operating in the Spirit as the “royal priesthood” spoken of in 2nd Peter 2:9, as the kingdom of priests that we are all declared to be in Revelation 1:6. Ministering to the Lord, when received as our identity and understood in our practice, becomes our first ministry. We

With Our Priesthood We Minister To God

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood – and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father” Revelation 1:5-6 This is all one sentence. One sentence that ties together God’s love for us, His releasing us from our sins by His blood, and His making us a kingdom of Priests to His God and Father. Jesus Christ, in His mercy and grace, has loved us, saved us, and made us to be priests to God. With the Gospel we minister to this world. With the priesthood we minister to God! What a privilege we have been given, to be called and created by God to experience this holy priesthood unto Him Himself! This is a divine invita

Jesus Has Made Us To Be a Kingdom of Priests

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood – and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father – to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen” Revelation 1:5-6 This dedication from the apostle John, in the opening verses of the book of Revelation, clearly states that Jesus Christ “loves us,” has “released us from our sins by His blood” and, importantly, simultaneously, “He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father.” Jesus Christ’s love for you and His shedding His blood for you is important, wouldn’t you say? So, how important do you think your being made part of a kingdom of priest

Zadok – Part 3- A Faithful Priest In The Wilderness and In Jerusalem

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “So David reigned over all Israel; and David administered justice and righteousness for all his people. Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army, and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder. Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests, and Seriah was secretary” 2 Samuel 8:15-17 I’ll just say, right off the top, the insight I get about Zadok in this text is this: If you are a faithful priest to your King in the wilderness, you will most certainly reign with your king in glory as a faithful priest. We have already seen how Zadok had left Jerusalem and king Saul with 4,600 Levites in order to join with God’s anointed king,

Zadok – Pt 2 – Bringing The Ark Of God “To The Place That I Have Prepared For It”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Then David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and said to them, ‘You are the heads of the father’s households of the Levites; consecrate yourselves both you and your relatives, that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place that I have prepared for it’” 1 Chronicles 15:11-12 The next time Zadok appears in scripture is here, when now ruling king David was preparing to bring the ark of the covenant into Jerusalem. And who did the king entrust this awesome privilege and responsibility to? It was Zadok and Abiathar, the faithful priests most loyal to God’s anointed king and covenant. Zadok was David’s most faithful and trus

Zadok – Always Loyal To God’s Anointed King And Priesthood – Pt 1

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from Me, shall come near to Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me” Ezekiel 44:15 From this portion of Ezekiel, it appears that the only priestly family from the entire Levitical priesthood who remained loyal to God, when “the sons of Israel went astray from Me,” was “the sons of Zadok.” This is not surprising to me, for when we trace the roots of this family back to Zadok himself, what we see is a never failing testimony of one man’s utterly loyal faithfulness to God’s anointed king and priesthood throughout his life. Zado

Loyalty To Our Priesthood and Covenant

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from Me, shall come near to Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me” Ezekiel 44:15 There had been a falling away from God by the people and priesthood of Israel, with only the Levitical family of “the sons of Zadok” remaining faithful. These loyal-to-God sons of Zadok were rewarded by God for their faithfulness to Him by being made the most privileged of all priests, the priests of the inner court, blessed to “come near to Me to minister to Me.” This is the exact same highest of blessings that all truly born again Christians

Speaking To Me From The House

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. Then I heard one speaking to me from the house” Ezekiel 43:5-6 Here is yet another great and awesome reason for all true Christians everywhere to embrace and realize their own priesthood to God – because God speaks “from the house.” If we truly desire to hear our Lord, then there is no better thing for us to do than to occupy our priesthood in His presence, being as near to our Lord, our Good Shepherd, as possible so that we, His sheep, may indeed hear His voice. “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).

Then I Heard One Speaking To Me

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. Then I heard one speaking to me” Ezekiel 43:5-6 If we truly want to hear the voice of our Lord speaking words of life to us, o priest of God, then let us allow the Holy Spirit to lift us up and bring us into the inner court where we will assuredly behold the glory of the Lord filling the house. For it is here, in God’s presence, as we minister to Him that “Then I heard one speaking to me.” This word from Ezekiel perfectly mirrors what we are told about ministering to the Lord in the New testament book of Acts. The apostle Paul (then still

The Glory Of The Lord Filled The House

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house” Ezekiel 43:5 What a beautiful progression the Holy Spirit unfolds for us through Ezekiel’s words here. Ezekiel, himself, was a priest of God, who subsequently received a prophetic call from God. So Ezekiel, in so many ways, was the perfect prophet and spokesperson for God, to call God’s people towards a truly holy inner court priesthood to the Lord. Step one in this passage is “The Spirit lifted me.” Step two is “and brought me into the inner court.” Step three is “and behold, the glory of the Lord.” Which brings us to step four, “the glo

And Behold, The Glory Of The Lord

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house” Ezekiel 43:5 When we follow the Holy Spirit’s leading, to go into our inner court, as priests ministering to our Lord, we are blessed to “Behold, the glory of the Lord.” Yes, allow the Spirit of God within you to lift you up into your inner court and you will “Behold,” which means “Look at this!” Yes, you will behold the glory of the Lord when you enter your “inner room” (Matthew 6:6) as a priest unto God. This is exactly what Paul described, as he was writing about our new covenant in Jesus Christ in 2nd Corinthians, chapters three and f

The Spirit Lifted Me Up And Brought Me Into The Inner Court

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house” Ezekiel 43:5 What the prophet Ezekiel was blessed to experience, in his great vision of a restored temple and a holy priesthood to God, Which fills the last eight chapters of his book, you and I are blessed to experience every single day in our priesthood to God! The Holy Spirit of God lifts us up and brings us into the inner court, the inner room within us, where we are privileged and blessed to minister to our Lord in His presence. The apostle Paul wrote to the church of the Galatians that “God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into

Jesus Our Covenant Shepherd Feeds Us Himself

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “I will set over them one shepherd, My servant David, and he will feed them himself and be their shepherd. I will make a covenant of peace with them” Ezekiel 34:23&25 Jesus, our Good Shepherd, feeds us Himself! This prophetic word from Ezekiel, chapter 34, is similar to the word we have been looking at lately from Ezekiel chapter 37. Both mention “My servant David” and “a covenant of peace.” Both words also point to our priesthood in our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is both our “covenant of peace” and “My servant.” In this case, God was rebuking the false shepherds of the house of Israel, saying “Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! S

Your Own Royal Priesthood Unto God

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “You are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION” 1 Peter 2:9 When you enter, as a Christian, into your own “royal PRIESTHOOD” unto God, that’s when you begin to experience, with understanding, the reality of being “CHOSEN” by God that you may willingly and joyfully become His “OWN POSSESSION.” Stepping into the understanding of your “royal PRIESTHOOD” brings you into the more full realization of why you desire, and why it is important, to worship God in the first place. We know we are created in Jesus Christ to glorify and praise Him, and to live a life before God in this world that also glorifies and prai
