No Sweat In Our Holy Array

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "When they enter at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and wool shall not be on them while they are ministering in the gates of the inner court and in the house. Linen turbans shall be on their heads and linen undergarments shall be on their loins; they shall not gird themselves with anything which makes them sweat" Ezekiel 44: 17-18 Praise God! When you and I minister in the inner court as priests unto God, it’s all about our Lord and not about us! This is a great blessing, a gift to us from our God! It’s not about our sweat, which represents our works and efforts for the Lord. There’s no sweat allowed in God’s

Newness Of Life, Strength, And Refreshment In His Presence

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; in holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew" Psalm 110:3 I have been writing about our own "holy array," as God’s present day kingdom of priests, which was prophesied in the Old testament. I want to share some beautiful “bearing witness” words from a favorite Bible commentary I have, from the 1800's (Jamieson – Fausset – Brown), concerning this passage from Psalm 110. I know you will be blessed. "‘Thy people are free-will offerings,’ for such is the proper rendering of the word. ‘In the beauties of holiness’ [“In holy array”] - either as Psalm 29:2, the loveli

In Holy Array, From The Womb Of The Dawn

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; in holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew" Psalm 110:3 Praise God! We are the prophesied people of Psalm 110:3. Jesus Christ is our King of verse one, "The Lord says to my Lord: sit at My right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for Your feet," even as our Savior testified, quoting this Psalm of Himself (Matthew 22: 42-45). And Jesus Christ is our High Priest of verse four, "The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek,’" of which the writer of Hebrews wrote much about (Hebrews 4:14-

Volunteer Freely In Holy Array

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: "Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; in holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew" Psalm 110:3 This prophetic verse about God’s people, through David, came between David’s declaration of “my Lord” as king in verse 1 and as “a priest forever” in verse 4. Psalm 110 is considered David’s great prophetic Psalm of messiah as King and High Priest. Jesus said this Psalm was about Him in Matthew 22: 42-45. Peter said this Psalm was about Jesus on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:32-36. And the writer of Hebrews referred to this Psalm repeatedly as he wrote of Jesus Christ as our King and High Priest of a Ne

The Best Way To See Your Holy Array

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in holy array" Psalm 29:2 Here is a most beautiful way for you to see yourself in holy array - "Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name!“ The more we ”ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name,“ the more we are enabled to behold our ”holy array." It is as we worship that we are gifted to see. As we glorify our Lord in His presence, our own spiritual eyes open further to His glory, for God is full of glory, causing us to even more want to give Him "the glory due to His name." Through directing ourselves to our Lord, in His presence, in His praises, our eyes open further to see our

Our Holy Array Covering

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in holy array" Psalm 29:2 We spent a great deal of blessed time earlier looking at David’s life and heart of ministering to the Lord. As we have lately been looking at praising God in “holy attire” (2 Chronicles 20:21), and at the prophecy through Isaiah of God’s new “everlasting covenant” people (Isaiah 60:8) being called “priests of the Lord” (Isaiah 61:6), clothed with “the mantle of praise” (Isaiah 61:3), “garments of salvation” and “a robe of righteousness” (Isaiah 61:10), I thought I would return to David’s words on this subject. In the 29th Psalm David was exhorting people to "wo

Our Spiritual New Covenant Holy Attire

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "He appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army and said, "Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting" 2 Chronicles 20:21 To Praise God “in holy attire” is to receive your identification as a priest unto God and it is also to prepare yourself (humbly and joyfully) as a priest to enter God’s presence. Yesterday I shared the word from Exodus where God, for the first time, described to Moses the priestly garments, saying there were “for glory and for beauty” (Exodus 28:2). Our God sees those who minister to Him as being clothed with glory and beauty. The prophet Isai

Praise Him In Holy Attire

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "He appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army and said, "Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting" 2 Chronicles 20:21 As ministers unto our Lord, God’s kingdom of priests, we have been clothed with "holy attire.“ In the Old Testament those who served as priests wore special garments ”for glory and for beauty," just as God spoke to Moses concerning his brother Aaron’s priestly garments (Exodus 28:2). The call in Psalm 96 is, "Ascribe to the Lord the glory of His name; bring an offering and come into His courts. Worship the Lord in Holy Attire" (Psalm 96: 8-9).

Jesus Took The Sting For Us

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? But thanks be to God , who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" 1 Corinthians 15: 55 & 57 Death no longer has any victory over us because Jesus Christ won the victory over death when He rose from the dead. And now that we are in Christ, His victory has become our victory. There is not even a sting left for us to feel. All God wants us to feel is His love and all He wants us to do is to give Him thanks, because He has won this victory for us. Yes, let us thank God "who gives US the victory." Praise God, for the victory that Jesus won, He has graciously given to us. What a pr

Jesus Christ IS Our Resurrection Life

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies" John 11:25 Jesus Christ, Himself, is our resurrection. Jesus Christ, Himself, is our life. When we believe in Jesus Christ actively (“fixing our eyes on Jesus” Hebrews 12:2), all we can possibly be aware of is resurrection and life. Even if (or when) our physical body fails, we will still be in life, unbroken for even a second, because "Christ, Who is our life" (Col. 3:4) lives within us. He owns our spirit. We are in Him now and forever, and death can never touch Him again for Jesus Christ already died, once for all, to pay for our sins so that we may live forever

Jesus Has Abolished Death And Has Given Us His Life Instead

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel" 2 Timothy 1:10 Jesus Christ has abolished death from our lives so that we may now be blessed and free to become completely absorbed in the profound truth of our new eternal life and immortality in Him. It is through the light of the Gospel that we may behold, apprehend, and ultimately become apprehended by this higher, greater truth of our having been set free from death and the fear of death (which comes down to a fear of separation from God) so that we may instead live in spiritual resurrection life now and throughout eternity in unbroken fel

Jesus Has Set Us Free From The Fear Of Death

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives" Hebrews 2: 14-15 For the last two days we have seen in Scripture how Jesus “tasted” death for us and how He has also rendered powerless the devil over our death (Hebrews 2:9 & 14). Now, in this passage, we see why, according to God’s word, our blessed Savior has done these amazingly wonderful life-transforming things for us. Jesus Christ has accomplished these mighty deeds on our behalf specifically so He "might free those who through fear of death were subject to sla

Jesus Has Defeated Satan And Death For Us

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Since the children share in flesh and blood, He himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil" Hebrews 2:14 Before you and I knew Jesus Christ as our Savior, we were locked up in bondage to sin and death, under the power of the devil. But, praise God, Jesus broke the power of the devil at Calvary and now, as beloved children of God, we are blessed to have His Personal Lordship over our lives. Now it is God Who is in charge of our existence, and He is in charge of our moment of passing as well for we know, by His grace and promise, that we are forever bonded

Jesus Has Tasted Death For Us

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "We do see Him who was made for a little while lower that the angels, namely Jesus, because of the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone" Hebrew 2:9 I hope you blessedly know that “by grace you have been saved” (Eph 2:5). But do you know that by the grace of God Jesus Christ has tasted death on your behalf? What does this mean? When Jesus Christ suffered at Calvary, He tasted death, and separation from God, for you and I, in that space of time between Friday and Sunday morning. However, because of Jesus Christ, you and I will never have to taste that kind of death, that separat

He “Let” Me Find Him

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him. For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law." 2 Chronicles 15:2-3 I praise my God that He not only called me to “seek Him” but He “let” me find Him! Oh Hallelujah, our Lord is so good, so gracious, so filled with loving kindness. Yes, He “let me” find Him so I would be “with Him” so He could show me that is “with” me, in me. "The Lord is with you.“ O let us always be ”with Him.“ Let us be ”with Him" in our inner room, as we are “ministering to the Lord” (Acts 13:2). Let us be “with Him” as we leave the sheepfold

If You Seek Him, He Will Let You Find Him

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "‘The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him. For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law." 2 Chronicles 15:2-3 God’s door is always open for all of His children to seek Him and find Him and, in so doing, be “with Him” and realize He is with us. God wants you to seek Him and He guarantees "He will let you find Him." This is God’s expressed desire for all of us, to "seek Him," in the inner court within us, where we will surely "find Him." As ministers to the Lord, part of God’s “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9), which all of us born again Christians have been

The Lord Is With Us When We Are With Him

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "‘The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him. For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law.’" 2 Chronicles 15:2-3 Hallelujah! As ministers to the Lord in this day, having received and entered into our part in God’s “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9), we know for sure the actual truth that "the Lord is with us when we are with him." When we enter our inner room, the inner court within us, the temple of the Holy Spirit within, we are entering specifically to be with our Lord and, therefore, we are blessed with the specific presence of God. Religious people I hav

A Teaching Priest

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "‘The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him. For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law.’" 2 Chronicles 15:2-3 Azariah, the prophet, spoke these words to king Asa, admonishing the people of Israel to be true to the Lord. Azariah was encouraging people to be faithful to "the true God,“ to actively listen to ”a teaching priest,“ and to obey the ”law." Why a teaching priest? Why not mention only to be true to God and the law? You see, without a teaching priest, people can easily conceptualize faithfulness and obedience as a matter of fact, of works only, whi

Embracing Your Priesthood

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "But as for us, the Lord is our God, and we have not forsaken Him; and the sons of Aaron are ministering to the Lord as priests" 2 Chronicles 13:10 These were the words that king Abijah spoke to rebellious Jeroboam when he came to make war. Jeroboam had forsaken the Lord, cancelled the priesthood, and appointed his own priests and prophets who were completely corrupt. Abijah’s declaration that he had not forsaken the Lord was proven when he stated "the sons of Aaron are ministering to the Lord as priests." This, to Abijah, was THE sign of faithful obedience and devotion to God, "ministering to the Lord as priests." This was the pre-eminent sign; the

Building An Altar To The Lord

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne “Then Noah built an altar to the Lord” Genesis 8:20 As soon as Noah and his family exited the ark and were on dry ground "Noah built an altar to the Lord." Noah’s first act was to create a place where he would worship God. The first act of the first man after the flood was to build an altar, to worship and minister to God. Noah was a saved man in a new life, just as we are new creations in Jesus Christ, saved, with a new life in God. So let us immediately build our altar to the Lord too. But wait, for the truth is, when you and I received Jesus Christ as our salvation, that God made us a new creation with an altar of worship already within us. "For we
