Giving Thanks From Morning Onward

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High. To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night”

Psalm 92:2

Beloved of God, how often do you think “it is good to give thanks to the Lord?” Sometimes? Once in a while?

The truth is, it is always “good to give thanks to the Lord”, every moment of every day.

For sure we know this. But very often one can forget to perpetually “give thanks to the Lord”, as a way of life, unknowingly replacing this blessed mind set with all of our worries, cares, and even our so-called Christian responsibilities.

This is why I love this verse from the 92nd Psalm because, in simple and practical terms, God shows us in one statement how we may live in a continuous state of thanksgiving to Him, with the result being that we are experientially closer to God throughout every day.

Here it is. Don’t miss it, because of it’s simplicity - “To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night.” That’s right. Allow your new self in Jesus Christ to agree with this truth and begin practicing it.

When?

As soon as you wake, first thing in the morning, let your first thought be “to give thanks to the Lord” and then follow that up by actually, with your lips, giving thanks to God. Become convinced, as God’s beloved child, that this is the best way for you to begin each day.

Never give yourself demerits if you forget or fail to do this. Simply agree that this is your path of life, to give thanks to your God of love each day ASAP. Soon enough you will experience the fruitfulness of this blessed practice in your inner being and you will gladly. devotedly, ascribe to this pattern of giving thanks.

Continue all day long, as often as you think, giving thanks to God from your inner most being, and then you can joyfully conclude each day by thanking God for how faithful He has been, to be with you all day, lightening your path even as He lightens your burdens.

Yes, highly favored of God, “It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High. To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night”.

It is just as our Savior has instructed us, saying “If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them” (John 13:17). Start doing this thing and be blessed this day!

Hallelujah!
