“The Lord is my shepherd”
Psalm 23:1
The sheep does not choose the shepherd. It is the shepherd who chooses, purchases, and owns his sheep.
So, the only way you and I are able to say “The Lord is my shepherd” is because He first chose us.
In effect, our Lord said “you are my sheep” before we could even respond and say “You are my Shepherd.”
Say this, in love, to your Lord, “You are my Shepherd.”
When you say, “You are my Shepherd,” you affirm and agree with God’s choice of you as His sheep. You enter into agreement with your Good Shepherd when you say, and live, with the blessed understanding that indeed, “You are my Shepherd.”
Our Lord has chosen us as His sheep. Let us choose Him as our Shepherd. This completes a beautiful circle of trust.
Thank You Jesus! You are my Shepherd, now and forever.
Shepherd me today.
May I stay in Your presence, following You and knowing You over all other things.
Thank You for being such a Good Shepherd. Thank You that You first loved me, chose me, and drew my to Yourself. Hallelujah!
