“And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, ‘Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen’”
Revelation 7:11-12
Just look at the amazing company thanksgiving keeps in this great verse from the book of Revelation.
Just as this verse suggests, I believe that our maintaining a spirit of thanksgiving in God’s presence allows us to be more aware of His “blessing and glory and wisdom” and His “honor and power and might” in our lives and over our lives.
A spirit of thanksgiving keeps our head lifted up to our God with our eyes fixed upon Him.
Thanksgiving to God is a grace to us, for in giving thanks to God we are toward Him, and with our eyes upon Him, He is enabled and delighted to fill us with the knowledge of His “blessing and glory and wisdom” within us. We “honor” God with our thanksgiving and we show Him that we are trusting in His “power and might” when we remain in His presence with thanksgiving.
Cultivate that attitude of gratitude within you by giving thanks continually to your Lord and you will be far more aware of, and in touch with, God’s “blessing and glory and wisdom” and “honor and power and might” within you.
A grateful life expressed to God opens the door of your innermost being to be filled with all of God’s riches and blessings.
An expressed life of thanksgiving to God is a life that is gladly saying “Yes!” to all of God’s marvelous works and qualities to be quickened to life within you, in Jesus Christ.
Let us fall on our faces before God today with thanksgiving, for all that He is and all He has done for us in Jesus Christ. Yes, let us gladly say “Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” And Hallelujah!
