“The life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God , who loved me and gave Himself up for me”
Galatians 2:20
The best, most spiritually healthy way possible for you and I to live this new life we have in Jesus Christ, yet still dealing with living in this flesh, is for us to allow our complete focus to be upon “the Son of God, who loved... and gave Himself up for” us.
Jesus loved Paul; He gave Himself up for Paul and, because Paul had received and submitted himself to this truth of Christ, he now knew and confessed that “Christ lives in me” (Gal. 2:20).
The way to maintain this glorious awareness, which Paul shared in this verse, of Christ alive within us, is in our placing our full faith specifically in "the Son of God, who loved... and gave Himself up for" us.
If we look at our flesh, apart from Christ, surely we will begin to sink beneath the waves of this world. So, let us make sure, as loved children of God, that we blessedly behold this truth today, “Christ lives in me,” so we may be lifted high above the waves of this world into the kingdom of God’s dear Son within us. Hallelujah!
