My Name, My Eyes, And My Heart Are With You
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“I have chosen and consecrated this house that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually”
2 Chronicles 7:16
These are the words God spoke to Solomon after he had dedicated the temple he had built to the Lord.
These are the words that have become true for us Christians as well, through the loving grace New Covenant blood of our sacrificial, atoning, and resurrected Savior, Jesus Christ.
“The kindness of God” has led us “to repentance” (Romans 2:4), as the apostle Paul declared, through Jesus Christ, and now “we are the temple of the Living God” (2 Corinthians 6:16). So, just as in Solomon’s temple, the name of the Lord, Jesus, is now in us “forever,” and “My eyes and My heart” are with us “Perpetually.”
God has planted His presence firmly, abundantly, and eternally within us, and we are the blessed ones who have become the temple of our Lord.
Let us minister as priests in God’s presence “perpetually” in our temple, so we might give our God the glory He is worthy of, and that we might always know His name, His eyes, and His heart abide within us.
God is pleased in you, His temple. God is pleased to dwell in you, His temple. God has “consecrated this house,” meaning you, His temple, setting you apart for Him, as a place where He may dwell with His name, His eyes, and His heart “perpetually”.
So you, please be pleased with your God today. Yes, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise” (Psalm 100:4), blessing the name, the eyes, and the heart of Jesus, Who dwells with you “perpetually.” Hallelujah!
