My Soul Declares That The Lord Is My Portion

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne:

“The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I have hope in Him.’ The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him”

Lamentations 3:22-25

I will gladly declare “The Lord is my portion.” Who is declaring? My soul within me, my new self in Christ Jesus, the Spirit of God within me; in fact all that is within me shall “bless the Lord O my soul” (Psalm 103:1).

Every time I enter the privilege and call to minister to the Lord, because in Jesus Christ I am a minister to the Lord, I am giving my soul the gift of expressing that “The Lord is my portion.” This is life-renewing and life-affirming for me every single time I minister before my Lord as His priest, declaring and receiving the truth that “The Lord is my portion.”

The very act of our ministering to the Lord, in itself, testifies to the truth, indeed, that we believe and practice that “The Lord is my portion.”

Yes, O Lord, You are so worthy to receive all of our praise, for You are our Way, our Truth, our Life, and our full portion in this life, both now and forever. We draw near to You, in Your presence, as Your own “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9) to give You thanks. You are high and lifted up above us and we bless Your holy name. You are our inheritance, our portion, our share, our legacy, our reward, our territory, our All-in-all. We thank You for this great privilege You have given us, as Your priesthood, to wait for You and to seek You so we may be overflowing with Your Own lovingkindnesses, compassions, faithfulness, and goodness even as we abide in Your presence.

O Lord, may our whole lives be a continuous declaration and praise to You, that You are our portion.

We pray that every true believer in Jesus Christ will enter and live in their new creations, living as beloved children of You and priests unto You, so that they too will become an expression of this sacred truth, that You O Lord are our portion. We continue to pray that the new covenant truth of a holy, Christian, body of Christ, purchased by the blood of Christ specifically in order give us to You, Abba Father, as Your Own kingdom and priests (Revelation 5:9-10), will be received, realized, and joyfully obeyed, so we may truly be one body under You with one Head, Jesus Christ.

We pray this in Jesus name, for Your glory Lord, for the perfection of Your church Lord, and that Your ways will be recognized and known across the earth.

“God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us - that Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all the nations. Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You” (Psalm 67:1-3). Amen. The Lord is our portion. Hallelujah!
