A Minister In The Sanctuary
Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:
"Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the majesty in the heavens, a minister in the sanctuary and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man"
Hebrews 8:1-2
Jesus Christ, our High Priest, is a "minister in the sanctuary" and when you and I minister to the Lord, we join Him, in spirit, in the inner court of our being. For us, this has certainly become our "true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man." No man could ever make us a priest to our God. But our Lord Jesus Christ, our God, "has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father" (Revelation 1:6). Just a few days back we considered this scripture, "Jesus, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently" (Hebrews 7:24) and "He always lives to make intercession for them" (Hebrews 7:25).
Jesus Christ has been your faithful High Priest, actually interceding for you, by name, ever since you became born again. To actually know Him this way, and then to take it one step further and join Him in this way, is a never ending revelation of life and oneness with God. Think of the privilege extended to all of us, to be this kingdom of priests and to join our High Priest, "ministering to the Lord" (Acts 13:2) and to realize when we join Him in the sanctuary and send all our devotion, worship, stillness, and contemplation up to God our Father through Him, that Christ our High Priest is simultaneously interceding for us! Jesus Christ, as our High Priest, is praying for us even as we praise God our Father through Him, and this is all accomplished in and by the Holy Spirit of our Living God.
Do you dare receive such intimate spiritual reality and blessing? I hope so. I hope you are already there, in His presence, right now, growing in the grace and knowledge of all of these divine blessings, granted to you freely through your Lord of love, your High Priest and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bless Your Holy Name Lord. Hallelujah!
