Consider... Resting

Today's Word of Encouragment from Wayne:

"In returning and rest ye are saved, in keeping quiet and in confidence is your might"

Isaiah 30:15

(Young’s Literal translation)

Let us slow down our thoughts for a moment... and consider... resting in the salvation of our gracious and loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Allow yourself to appreciate the life-renewing blessing of being quiet before Him that you may meditate upon Him, adore Him and learn of Him in His presence. He is your confidence and your might. We are not merely resting. We are resting in our Lord, in His full salvation, and in all that He has done on our behalf, with gratitude and worshipful devotion.

As we rest in Who He is and what He has done, we allow ourselves to become more and more filled with the awareness of how great a salvation and how great a Savior we have. Bless His Holy Name. When we rest in the Lord, He fills us anew with the richness of Himself, so our confidence in Him is high and our might, we joyfully realize, is His life within us. Oh praise Your Holy Name Lord God. You invite us to cease from our labors, and rest in You, our God and our salvation.

Thank You for saving us and giving us true "rest" in You. May we rise from our rest strengthened and confident in You. Thank You for Your grace, mercy, peace and love that crowns our lives as we rest in You and live in this world. We love You Lord and we know You first loved us. Hallelujah!
