Enter Your Rest

Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:

"The one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest"

Hebrews 4:10-11

Oh beloved child of God, make sure you have received the rest of God. Jesus Christ, your Savior and High Priest, has promised "I will give you rest" when you take His yoke upon you and learn from Him, specifically that "I am gentle and humble in heart" (Matthew 11:28-29). In His presence, seeing His true nature and disposition towards you, a profound sense of rest is produced for your soul in Jesus Christ. Stepping into the yoke with Jesus, and remaining there, in His rest, is not a luxury. This is a necessity that we must be "diligent to enter."

Apart from the yoke and rest of Jesus we will always tend to consider our works instead of His work. So often, apart from the yoke and rest of our Savior, we strive for things that our God has already taken care of for us. We need to rest from our works and enter into His rest, so we may see our lives and all of life from the perspective our being in Christ, in His yoke, in His finished work and full provision for us.

The more you witness what your Lord has done for you, and the more you witness the beauty of being in His presence, the more you truly rest in Him. Believe me when I say you are best blessed in His rest. Enter His rest now. Hallelujah!
