Let God Prepare A Table For You - The Table Of His Presence

Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:

"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil"

Psalm 23: 5

Whenever David felt like he was surrounded by enemies, as he oftentimes was, he would head for the presence of God. Instead of beholding his enemies, along with their plans and deeds, David preferred to see his beloved God preparing a table before him, a banquet table of treasures, filled with the presence of God and "the beauty of the Lord" ("Psalm 27: 4). This is our holy buffer in life, the table God prepares before us "in the presence of my enemies." God sets the table of His presence before us, meaning that His table intentionally separates us from our enemies. God’s constant protection over our lives, our spirits, our thoughts, is the table of living bread in Jesus Christ that we are constantly blessed to feed from in the presence of God as we minister to our Lord.

The table of God’s presence always stands between us and our enemies, ready to feed and satisfy us with the fullness of God. Let God prepare a table for you today. Step into and up to the table before you, in faith, and rest in God’s presence as He feeds you the very best, Himself, Jesus Christ, our living bread and living water. God bids us to His table, in the presence of our enemies, so He may nourish and strengthen us, in Himself, because "greater is He Who is in you than he (or anyone) who is in the world" (1 John 4: 4). Yes, amen and thank You Lord. Hallelujah!
