Will God Indeed Dwell With Mankind On The Earth?
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“But will God indeed dwell with mankind on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You; how much less this house which I have built”
2 Chronicles 6:18
King Solomon, David’s son, built a temple for the Lord God. In His prayer of humble dedication, of this temple to God, Solomon admitted that certainly no house could contain the Lord, for not even the heavens can contain our God.
Yet Solomon’s desire, clearly, was that God would “indeed dwell with mankind on the earth.”
Hallelujah! Because of Jesus Christ, our Messiah and Savior, you and I have the reality of this prayer of Solomon’s - living right within us!
Jesus Christ, our Immanuel (God with us), does dwell within us, on this earth, and we abide in Him. We have become His house, “or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God” (1 Corinthians 6:19)?
How blessed we are to see that, because of God’s love to us through Jesus Christ, we have something in our lives, everyday, which Solomon could only pray and hope for.
You and I are so blessed to live with our Lord, Who dwells in us, now and forever, through our great Savior and loving Lord, Jesus Christ.
Consider what Solomon prayed, and then dwell with God in His presence today, and thank Him for living in you. Hallelujah!
