What Happens As We Consider Jesus

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“Consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession”

Hebrews 3:1

The more you “consider Jesus”as your “High Priest” the more the qualities of your High priest are bestowed upon you.

In the past three days we have beheld the sympathy, mercy, and good things of Jesus Christ, specifically as our High Priest, towards us. When we are “ministering to the Lord” (Acts 13:2) in His presence, our praises ascend to God our Father through Jesus Christ our High Priest. All of the qualities of Christ our High Priest flow down to us as our praises ascend to God.

Jesus intends to change you into His image when you are in His presence so that, when you go forth into the outer court of this world, you will go forth as a transformed priest to the Lord, an ambassador of Christ bringing the mercy, sympathy, and good things you have received in His presence to this lost world.

As a kingdom of priests unto God, which is what God’s word says we are (1st Peter 2:5-9, Revelation 1:5-6), we are blessed to receive the heart of a mediator, exactly and even as our High Priest, Jesus Christ, is our mediator, between God and man.

Because we are priests to our God, we identify strongly with Jesus Christ, our High priest. His mercy, sympathy, and good things flow like a river into us when we minister to the Lord. And then, with joy, we are graced and led to go into this world with these same qualities that are now in us “so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

Yes, we praise You Lord. You pour your unrelenting goodness into us so we may be vessels of Your presence and goodness, filled with You, as we live in this world. Thank You Jesus! Hallelujah!
