Two Wonderful New Year’s Resolutions For You

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth”

Ephesians 4:23-24

Bless your Lord o child of God! Here are two wonderful new year’s resolutions for you, straight from the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul to you.

First, “Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” Amen. Yes it’s a blessing to know that, as a beloved child of God, that we even have a “spirit of your mind.” For before we came to know Christ our Lord, all we had was an old mind, soaked in the sin of this world and our flesh. But now, praise God, we are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and we have a new spirit in our mind; the Holy Spirit of our living God!

We do need to first accept our renewal in the spirit of our mind, before we put on our new self, because without the spirit of our mind being renewed, we will not even be inclined to put on our new self.

Without the spirit of our mind being renewed, we don’t even know that we have a new self that we need to and are highly favored to “put on” each day.

But the blessed truth for us is that, in Christ, we are a new self, and when we do receive that spirit of our mind renewal, then we are focused upon that which is life indeed, our new mind and our new self realized in our gracious, resurrected, indwelling, Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

So first, “Be renewed” and then second, “Put on the new self.”

Your new self is a perfect fit, tailored especially for you through the Spirit and blood of the Lamb.

Your new mind and new self love God all of the time and walk in His presence constantly. So, by God's grace and mercy, may you be blessed to stay tuned in to your renewed mind and your new self in this new year.

It is a great new year's gift and promise to you from God that you will live in constant renewal, in our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
