The Lord Is My Shepherd

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul”

Psalm 23:1-3

Everything our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, does and has done for us, His sheep, and everything He has revealed of Himself to us, is all towards this purpose of the full restoration of our soul with Him.

Knowing our Shepherd this way; this intimate, caring, loving, fully committed way, truly brings us to our senses.

We sense our need for our Shepherd and we sense His total care and provision for us.

So we are forever returned, restored, at rest, and in our right mind in the presence of the Lord our Shepherd.

He faithfully leads us and feeds us, causes us to lie down in peace, brings us to quiet waters, always graciously giving us reason after reason to stay at His side as the freewill “sheep of His hand” (Psalm 95:7).

Continue to be this person on the inside, the new you, a new creation in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), this uncomplicated, simple sheep who only knows the voice, presence, fellowship, and provision of the Lord your Shepherd.

This world is complicated but “the Lord is my Shepherd.”

This religious world can get complicated too and may often seem stuck between two kingdoms but “The Lord is my Shepherd.”

Half the time (or maybe even more) we can complicate things ourselves but “the Lord is my Shepherd.”

See what I mean?

Always remember who your true self is, a gentle sheep of your loving Shepherd, and you will always be drawn to Him, and to His complete provision for your life and every circumstance. For He has said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).

Our Shepherd’s voice is forever calling us, “He calls his own sheep by name” (John 10:3), that we would forever follow Him, in peace, love, and security.

I praise You Lord for You are my Shepherd. You make me lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside quiet waters. You restore my soul. Thank You my Lord Jesus, my Good Shepherd, for making me Your beloved sheep, for now and forever.

Hallelujah! Amen!
