Our Divinely Powerful Weapon Of Praise

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne:
"‘You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf.’ When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, so they were routed"
2 Chronicles 20:17,22
Let me relate this wonderful portion of Scripture, which we have been looking at for the past three days, to something the apostle Paul wrote about. As I share these words with you, from Paul’s second letter to the church of the Corinthians, think about how God uses your praise in your own battles of life to route the enemy.
Paul wrote, "Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
Praise our Lord! God has actually endowed us, His beloved New Covenant priesthood children, with “divinely powerful” spiritual weapons for spiritual warfare in which fortresses are destroyed, speculations are destroyed, and lofty things raised up against the knowledge of Christ are destroyed. How? By our "taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.“
In His letter to the Ephesians Paul wrote about ”the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Ephesians 6:17). God’s word is here for us, to be a sword of the Spirit for us through which we may take all of our own thoughts captive to Jesus Christ.
Hallelujah, let us go forth, on behalf of our Lord Jesus and His church, to encourage the entire body of Christ to lift high the sword of the Spirit.
Now, add that supernatural layer of “singing and praising” upon “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God“ as you ”station yourself" in His presence, and you have “the Sword of the Spirit” in “Spirit and truth” (John 4:23).
What a mighty combination! Yes, the word of God, being held high by an understanding and praising believer, is a mighty weapon indeed, protecting you even while defending the body of Christ.
God’s word, raised up in the heart of a “singing and praising” believer, is a “divinely powerful” weapon that our loving God has given us so that we may always be strong in Him even as we are clothed with Him.
Take God’s word with you into His presence today and praise Him.
Let your sword of the Spirit be forged for you by the Holy Spirit in the purifying fire of His Own glorious praise and presence.
Being in God’s presence, as His humble priest, “singing and praising,” is a most perfect way for you to wonderfully bring “every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.”
Yes, praise Him for He is so strong on your behalf. Hallelujah!
