Let God Take You Someplace Special With Himself Today

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him”

Genesis 5:24

Every day in our walk with God we are offered the blessing of “he was not, for God took him.”

Jesus said “Come to Me... and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28-29). When we step into the yoke of Jesus and walk with God, we are blessedly set free from the bondage of self, even as we learn of our gracious Lord’s gentle and humble heart towards us.

What a beautiful exchange, from being self-absorbed to being Christ-filled, God offers us.

In this way “we are not, for God takes us.” God takes us to Himself, and fills us with His Own nature, His Own Spirit. God reveals Himself to us. Hallelujah, when we are walking with God it really does become all about Him. The apostle Paul referred to this as “the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8).

Try saying this: “When I walk with God, I am not, for God takes me.” Praise God. And where does He take us? He takes us into the heart of Himself, where we are filled with His presence, His power, His Person, His purpose.

Yes, “Come to Me,” “Learn from Me,” “And I will give you rest.” Our souls find and remain at true rest in Christ, our beloved whole life Savior, when we receive the blessing of “he was not, for God took him.”

Let God take you someplace special today, right into the yoke of His presence, where you will be graced to learn of Him, even while being in a beautiful state of rest. We are not (alone, abandoned, or stuck in our old self) for God has taken us (as His beloved new creation children to Himself). Bless Him and praise Him in His presence.
