Jesus Has Tasted Death For Us

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“We do see Him who was made for a little while lower that the angels, namely Jesus, because of the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone”

Hebrew 2:9

I hope you blessedly know that “by grace you have been saved” (Eph 2:5). But do you also know that by the grace of God Jesus Christ has tasted death on your behalf?

What does this mean?

When Jesus Christ suffered at Calvary, He tasted death, and separation from God, for you and I, in that space of time between Friday and Sunday morning.

However, because of Jesus Christ, you and I will never have to taste that kind of death, that separation.

Jesus tasted death “for everyone” specifically so that we, who have received Him, would not have to. You see, when our Savior bridged the sin and salvation gap, He also bridged the separation at death gap as well.

Praise His name, we have a complete and seamless salvation in Christ, exactly Like Jesus, Himself, has promised us, saying “ Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matt. 28:20).

Praise the name of your Lord Jesus today, for by the grace of God He has tasted death for you so that you may always and only know His life-giving abiding resurrection presence within. Hallelujah!
