Jesus Has Defeated Satan And Death For Us

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“Since the children share in flesh and blood, He himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil”

Hebrews 2:14

Before you and I knew Jesus Christ as our Savior, we were locked up in bondage to sin and death, under the power of the devil. But, praise God, Jesus broke the power of the devil at Calvary and now, as beloved children of God, we are blessed to have His Personal Lordship over our lives.

Now it is God Who is in charge of our existence, and He is in charge of the moment of our passing as well, for we know, by His grace and promise, that we are forever bonded with Him, “Christ, Who is our life” (Col 3:4).

When we were not saved, the devil was waiting at the end for us. But now that we are saved, God has kicked the devil out and Jesus is waiting at, not the end, but the new beginning for us. God is in charge, with full power, over the life we live in Christ, now and forever, so blessed to be with our Lord in His presence.

The devil is powerless towards us. Remember, this verse from Hebrews says that our Savior has rendered “powerless” “the devil.” God is all powerful now, over and within us, and He has us completely covered in His grace and love, in safety forever with Himself. Bless Your Holy Name O Lord. Hallelujah!
