In Holy Array, From The Womb Of The Dawn
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; in holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew”
Psalm 110:3
Praise God! We are the prophesied people of Psalm 110:3!
Jesus Christ is our King of verse one, “The Lord says to my Lord: sit at My right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for Your feet,” even as our Savior testified, quoting this Psalm of Himself (Matthew 22:42-45). And Jesus Christ is our High Priest of verse four, “The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek,’” of which the writer of Hebrews wrote much about (Hebrews 4:14-5:11, 6:17-10:25).
So, we are the prophesied people who “volunteer freely” in verse three! We are so blessed to be clothed in the “holy array” of our priesthood before our great King and High Priest, Jesus. What is also blessedly amazing to see is that, just as God’s plan from the beginning was always that Jesus Christ would be crucified, and raised up as King and High Priest, so also God always saw us, His people, as being clothed with His Own “holy array.” When David, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, wrote, “In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew,” this was a beautifully, spiritually, poetic way of saying that our God has always seen and considered us this way, even before the beginning of time - since “the womb of the dawn.”
This to me is so special and amazing, to think that, truly, we were on His mind, and in such a glorious way! Praise His holy name.
Even that David’s prophecy puts us, His people in verse three, right in the middle of the prophecy of Messiah as King in verse one and as High Priest in verse four, is a sign itself of how special we are to our God.
Let us show our gratitude this day by volunteering freely in holy array before our Lord in His presence. Let us thank God and praise Him, our King and High Priest.
God has been looking at you in “holy array” ever since “the womb of the dawn.” So, see this for yourself today, your own “holy array, from the womb of the dawn,” and you will be seeing “Your youth” eternally in Jesus Christ. Thank Him! Hallelujah!
