I Will Dwell In The House Of The Lord Forever - Beginning Now
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”
Psalm 23:6
As ministers to the Lord, recreated through our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ “to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father” (Revelation 1:6), we are in a most blessed position to truly know that we “will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Every time that we minister to our Lord now, we are actually dwelling in God’s house, “in the secret place of His tent” (Psalm 27:5), “In the shelter of Your wings” (Psalm 61:4), “our refuge and strength” (Psalm 46:1), “the inner court” (Ezekiel 44:17), our “inner room” (Matthew 6:6), being “a temple of God” with the “Spirit of God” dwelling in us (1 Corinthians 3:16).
We, “as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood” (1 Peter 2:5). This “spiritual house” within us is most definitely “the house of the Lord,” here for us and for our communion with God in this present life.
Every time we enter our spiritual house, “the house of the Lord,” our actions confess that we want to live “in the house of the Lord forever.”
Indeed, our actions confirm that we will live in the house of the Lord forever, for we are living in His house now, in joyful submission, as God’s loyal children and priests unto our Lord Most High.
Think of the blessing, anointing, peace, joy, wisdom, closeness and overall well being we are graced to experience as we dwell in God’s house now, ministering to Him.
Imagine what our fellowship will be like when we are at last fully and completely in God’s presence, as pure spiritual beings, in heaven, dwelling “in the house of the Lord forever.”
I encourage you to partake of your “first fruits of the Spirit” (Romans 8:23) in God’s presence today, and every day, through dwelling in the house of the Lord now with God, knowing with great joy that a day is coming when, for sure, we “will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” with our loving God.
Praise His name, we’ve only just begun.
Hallelujah!
