I Will Be Satisfied With Your Likeness When I Awake

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

"As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake"

Psalm 17:15

Ministering to the Lord on a regular basis, beholding God’s face in righteousness, allows and enables us to “be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake,” because ministering to the Lord keeps the likeness of God in the forefront of our minds.

Because David beheld God’s face in righteousness on a regular basis, he was therefore blessed and enabled to “be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake.”

Shouldn’t we all be blessed to say, and truly we are all blessed to genuinely say, first thing every single morning, “I am satisfied with Your likeness when I awake.” The solution David offers us in this Scripture is simple and straight forward.

It is this - let us “behold Your face in righteousness” as often as possible.

Every single instance where we minister to our Lord, we are beholding His face in righteousness. Remember the Scripture I shared yesterday, where the apostle Paul wrote, “God, Who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,’ is the One Who has shown in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6). When we enter our priesthood before our Lord, we are in that moment specifically beholding His face in righteousness, “in our hearts... in the face of Christ.” The more we do this, whether it be morning, afternoon, or evening, the more we insure that when we do wake in the morning we will be thinking, saying, and praising our God with “I am satisfied with Your likeness!”

So our first waking thought, if we so choose, is blessed to be of Thee, O Lord. I am satisfied with Your likeness when I awake. Praise Your name, when we behold Your face in Your presence, as we minister to You, we see how glorious and beautiful You are. So we praise You God for this great privilege, to be Your priesthood, so we might “behold Your face in righteousness” and experience satisfaction in Your presence when we awake.

You have blessed us so richly Lord. You are our life. As we continue to grow in Your presence, we see how You have completely accomplished all things, and have covered and filled us with Your essence, Your divine nature, that you graciously have made us to be partakers of (2 Peter 1:4).

We partake of You, O God, when we minister before You. Praise You Lord.

May all of Your children receive this truth of our priesthood, so we may all honor You as You deserve, being humble and adoring in Your presence, saying along with David, “As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake.”

Thank You Lord.

Hallelujah!
