Hearing & Rejoicing In Our Bridegroom’s Voice
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made full.”
John 3:29
These words from John the Baptist show us how we may have our own joy made full, and maintained at full level.
Jesus is our Bridegroom and we have been wed in an eternal friendship to Him.
This was John’s understanding.
Because of this revelation, of eternal union and friendship with Christ, John was glad to stand and hear the bridegroom’s voice and this, he declared, was what made his own personal joy full.
When you and I approach our Savior with this same understanding, that we are betrothed to Him in love and eternal friendship; that’s when we too, will be glad to stand, to linger, and to hear the beautiful words of life from our God Who loves us so much that He has married us to Himself.
Hearing God’s Word in this way can only produce joy; gratitude, and goodness throughout our entire being.
Hear God’s word today and let Jesus personally imbue you with His own joy, so that this may become your full joy.
Hallelujah!
