Greetings, Favored One! The Lord Is With You

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming in, he said to her, ‘Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.’”

Luke 1:26-28

Beloved child of God, allow me to be the first one to say to you this day, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.”

This beautiful, life and love affirming salutation, which the angel Gabriel gave to Mary, is true for you and I right now and all of the time.

“The Lord is with you” is another way of saying “‘Immanuel,’ which translated means, ‘God with us’” (Matthew 1:23).

Because Jesus Christ was born into this world to be our Savior, our Immanuel, our God with us, therefore we who have received Christ as our Messiah truly have received favor from our Lord. God is with us! God lives in us! Christ has been born in our innermost being! This is mighty and awesome favor!

So, yes, even as the angel Gabriel came in and said to Mary, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you,” so also is this God’s every day greeting to you.

Receive this daily affirmation from your Lord and you will be increasingly more aware of “Immanuel,” of God and of His indwelling favor actually being with you all of the time.

To accept and realize this is such great favor indeed from our Lord, to bless us and to be over our lives. Hallelujah!
