God’s Face Shines Within You
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“O God of hosts, restore us and cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved”
Psalm 80:7
As a beloved child of God, and sheep of your Good Shepherd, it is your Lord’s gracious will for you (and also your daily blessed privilege) to live in the shining light of your Savior’s face.
How, you may ask? Praise God, the “how” has been beautifully revealed in this following passage from the New Testament, from the Holy Spirit writing through the apostle Paul, “God, who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,’is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6 & Genesis 1:3).
Praise You Lord! Yes, Jesus Christ is in you right now, your Good Shepherd, shining away in your heart with “the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.”
A truly restored soul (Psalm 23:3) is a soul restored to the constant care of our Good Shepherd and the sign of our own recognition of this is when we honestly desire, and know we need, to stay by His side at all times, for our own health, happiness, safety, and assurance.
Accept this grace from your Lord, that the same God Who caused light to shine in Genesis has decreed now that His light is in your heart so that you may see and understand that all of His glory is in the face of Jesus! And Jesus, your completely committed Good Shepherd, resides within you, at this moment!
God’s face is not only shining upon you. Praise God, His face is shining within you!
All of God’s light, the light of His glorious salvation and restoration, is shining within you now so that you may clearly see, and know, the face of your Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
Live in the shining light of your Beloved Shepherd’s face today. Hallelujah!
