God Reveals Himself To Us As We Minister To Him
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor had the word of the Lord yet been revealed to him. So the Lord called Samuel again for the third time”
1 Samuel 3:7-8
“Samuel did not yet know the Lord,” but his mother, Hannah, had dedicated Samuel to God and had brought him up, in his three years, to be devoted to God. Look at how much God wanted to reveal Himself and speak to this small child who was “ministering to the Lord” (1 Samuel 3:1) with such devotion. This was the third time God called out to Samuel.
Praise God, as blood washed children of our Father, through Jesus Christ, you and I do know our Lord. The true word of God, Jesus Christ, has been revealed to us, and God has given us His written word that we would know Him and grow in Him.
Our heavenly Father honors those who honor Him (1 Samuel 2:30) and in our ministering to the Lord we honor our Lord, even as Samuel did. We are so blessed to enter God’s presence to minister to Him, purely because He is so good and worthy of all of our lifetime of praises and devotion to Him, and yet He blesses us as we minister to Him. Oh praise His name!
May God’s grace and love be upon us all, that we would show all of our children at an early age, like Hannah did, the blessing of being devoted to God and in His presence. And may we, as God’s beloved children, minister to our Lord today with childlike devotion, faith, and love, just like Samuel did, yet even better, because we do know our Lord and we do love the revelation of His word.
Our God is so good to us. He is waiting to reveal His word to us even as we minister to Him and know Him in His presence. Amen, be blessed today!
Hallelujah!
