God Abides In Us

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.”

1 John 4:15

While many may see this verse as a glorious description of our moment of salvation, I also see this verse revealing a truth concerning our ongoing life of salvation.

That is, as you and I confess Jesus Christ throughout each day - to God, to ourselves, by the way we think and act, and to this world as we have opportunity, what we do each time we confess Jesus is that we continually invoke the truth that the Son of God abides in us.

Our ongoing confession of Christ absolutely strengthens us.

Every time we confess Jesus Christ we are reminded that He is abiding in us.

In fact it is His Holy Spirit within us, I believe, enabling and enthusing us to confess Christ, so that we may know Him and His abiding presence even more.

Hallelujah!
