Experiencing Renewal In God’s Presence

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.”

Psalm 9:1-2

Here is the basic premise of what we say in our ministering to the Lord. Just as David did, we “give thank to the Lord with all my heart” for Who He is and for what He has done.

In future sharing from the Psalms, we will see that David would often list actual attributes of God, and the things God has done, as he praised God in His presence.

“I will tell of all Your wonders” is our praising God for all that He has done. Truly, once we begin thanking our God for all He has done, the list becomes endless. We will never run out of things to thank our God for in His presence.

“I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High” is our praising God for Who He is. Once again, the praise we offer our God for Who He is, that we freely and continually offer up as we minister before Him in His presence, is endless.

Yes meditate upon and then praise your God for all of His Most excellent attributes. A list of the titles of our Savior alone will be more than enough to get you started and to keep you going, for all eternity!

“I will be glad and exult in You” is precisely where we praise God, as ministers to our Lord in His presence. It is this truth that when we enter the temple of God within us, to be a priest before our Lord, we are at that moment “in You.”

We know that the revealed mystery of the gospel is this, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). So, when we minister to our Lord, we enter “in You” with the same simple straight forward faith through which we receive “Christ in you.”

Ministering to our Lord is the great reality of “You are in me, my God, and I am in You.” This is what our Savior was praying for us when He said, “Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with me where I am, so that they may see my glory” (John 17:24).

I encourage you to minister to God today with this same simple and joyful attitude - “with all my heart.”

Tell God of all His wonders. Be glad and exult in God. Sing praises to the name of God, O Most High. For the more you actually speak forth “the excellencies of Him” (1 Peter 2:9) before His presence, the more you become endowed, fortified and strengthened by these very same attributes of our Lord. Amen.

O praise His name that we have this eternally open invitation to enter our God’s presence at all times, as a minister to Him, that we may “give thanks to the Lord” with all our hearts, and tell of all His wonders, and be glad, and exult in God, and sing praises to His name.

O we bless You Lord, our God Most High. Thank You for the great blessing of the renewal You always give us as we praise You in Your presence and exult in You. Hallelujah!
