Drink Living Water

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“The Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes”

Revelation 7:17

God’s living water is here for you and in you right now, ready to refresh you and heal your wounds.

In this beautiful verse from the book of Revelation, we see our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, in heaven still bringing us to springs of living water even as He wipes away all of our tears.

Our Good Shepherd gives us sweet living water while He simultaneously lovingly touches us, caressing us, removing with His Own hand our every tear.

What a tremendous image and truth this is, of our Shepherd giving us His sweetness as He Himself takes away all of our bitter, salty, painful tears.

The living water of the Holy Spirit within us is intended to more than amply replace, with tender healing, all of our bitter waters. I believe God has given us this preview of heaven so that we will receive this truth for our lives today.

Right now, in this present moment, we have living water flowing within us that our Good Shepherd has led us to, “from his innermost being will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38).

So let us, in simple and childlike (sheeplike) faith, accept God’s Good Shepherd hand being applied to our tears even as we come to Him and drink.

As you acknowledge, drink, and are refreshed by the living water of Jesus Christ within you, receive also God’s loving, tear-removing touch. Thank your gracious Shepherd that He loves you so much that He bends low to take away your tears. In faith receive His touch now. Drink His sweet living water while allowing Him to come close enough to you to “wipe every tear from (your) eyes.”

And, if there are more tears tomorrow, then your Good Shepherd will take care of them too. You just keep drinking His living waters, with the additional understanding now that, as Christ leads you to His waters, He desires to wipe away your tears. Your Shepherd loves you so much! Hallelujah!
