Come Near To Me To Minister To Me & Stand Before Me
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from Me, shall come near to Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me”
Ezekiel 44:15
Praise God my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, for He has made us to be His Own present day kingdom of priests (1 Peter 2:6-9, Revelation 1:5-6, 5:9-10)! What a privilege! What a blessed favor our God has given us, that we may be so close to Him and be transformed by Him even as we remain, abiding and offering praise in His presence.
This verse from Ezekiel puts the whole point of ministering to the Lord in a simple and direct way, saying, “Come near to Me to minister to Me” and “stand before Me.”
People who know nothing of our biblical Christian priesthood just can’t see this truth. Most folks have been led to believe that worship, all by itself, is enough. So hardly anyone, if anyone, seems to be looking any further and, therefore, the call and the truth of our priesthood identity remains sadly and tragically ignored.
This is why we who do know and who have responded to our priesthood need to carry this truth forward, in our own practice of our priesthood and in our own growing understanding of this most holy call, so that we may exhort the true body of Christ to pick up the full mantle of our priesthood identity and anointing.
Without the realization of our High Priest of a New Covenant and of our priesthood in Him, the church remains deprived of the entire reality and blessing of ministering to the Lord, along with all of the holy goodness and power that would flow through God’s church if we truly did honor and obey our Father in heaven enough to actually be His inner court priesthood.
God’s Own spoken divine will and invitation is clearly expressed in this verse when He said that “the sons of Zadok..... shall come near to Me to minister to Me, and they shall stand before Me.”
I hope you understand what a most blessed privilege it is to know that we may draw near to our Abba Father at any time. People who know nothing of our priesthood to God needlessly suffer when they think their only option is to pray to God to come near and please touch them in tough times, and then they so often feel like He is not near, when the truth is that all the while God’s door is open to be entered by his holy priesthood “in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19).
Today, beloved child and priest of God, called with a holy calling, bless your Abba Father in this specific way - come near to Him to minister to Him and stand before Him. You honor and bless God when you truly do this and, at the same time, this is a great reward and favor from God - to you - that will bless you now and for the rest of your life in Christ!
Hallelujah!
