Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me”
Galatians 2:20
It’s one thing to believe in Christ and it is another thing to willingly identify oneself with Christ.
When we believe, we may still remain at a distance (perhaps innocently or perhaps of our own choosing for our own purpose). But when we identify with Christ, we come closer, all the way to Jesus, that we may know Him and know what He has accomplished on our behalf.
It is in this place, of willing submission, that the life truly flows.
Paul identified himself as being crucified with Christ. This opened the door for Paul to receive and experience the greater truth that it was now no longer him living alone but it was Jesus Christ living in Paul.
The closer you and I come to the truth of Christ, saying yes to all Jesus has done, and identifying ourselves first and solely with Him, the more you and I will also be blessed to receive and experience the revelation that, “it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”
As we identify ourselves with the cross of Christ and Jesus’ death on our behalf, God blesses us by filling us with His own resurrection life. Christ lives in us! Hallelujah!
