Fully Restored

Today’s Word Of Encouragement from Wayne:

Fully Restored

“He restores my soul”

Psalm 23:3

Praise God; in Jesus Christ, our Good Shepherd, we are granted salvation and restoration!

God saves us and He restores us - eternal life and abundant life.

We are saved now and forever, and we are restored in this moment.

Restoration comes through our daily reception of, and fellowship with, our Shepherd Who, “makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters” (Psalm 23:2).

Jesus is constantly calling us to Himself so that in Him we may experience true rest which leads to restoration.

As we rest in our Shepherd’s complete provision, knowing His peaceful, fruitful pastures and His quiet, living waters, we enter into a state of continual restoration.

The Hebrew word used for “restores” in this verse is “shub” and its principal meaning is, “to turn back, bring back, return, repent.”

You see, restoration is not about our getting back something we may have formerly had in this world. True restoration is about our receiving what our soul never had, namely being with God, our Good Shepherd, moment by moment in abundant and eternal life.

We are fully restored as we are fully returned to our Shepherd. It is as David wrote, “In Your presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11).

Today, receive your ongoing restoration with your Good Shepherd in His presence. God is restoring you within yourself so that you may live in perfect restoration with Himself.

Perfectly restored and perfectly at rest with your Good Shepherd is your Lord’s will for your life and this is also His gracious gift to you.

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift” (2 Corinthians 9:15). Hallelujah!
