Be A New Creation Today
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come”
2 Corinthians 5:17
In Jesus Christ you are a new creation. When you are actively aware of, and alive to, the fact of your being in Christ, that’s when you touch the truth of your new creation.
You’ve probably heard people talk about, and maybe you have experienced for yourself, the smell of a new book, or being inside a new car. It’s that seemingly great brand new smell that is pleasing to everyone’s senses, it appears. Well, the same is true for us, regarding our enjoying and appreciating the fact that, in Christ, we are a brand new creature.
Enjoy your brand-new newness today. Enjoy the fact that, in Christ, old things are gone that used to drag you down. Enjoy that new things have come, and continue to come to you, as you live as a new creation in Christ. Yes, enjoy and be grateful that you are in Christ and that Christ is in you.
So, here is your own spiritual, so to speak, new car or new book smell - “But thanks be to God, Who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place” (2 Corinthians 2:14). As new creatures in Christ we are highly blessed and favored of God to have manifested in us, at all times and in “every place,” the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him.
Be a new creation today. Accept and affirm that you are in Christ. Thank Him for newness. Thank Him for His presence. Thank Him for taking away the old things and giving you His Own blessed newness. And thank Him profusely for manifesting through you “the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.”
Christ, Himself, is your sweet aroma. Bless His holy name! Hallelujah!
