“Consider Him”
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him”
Hebrews 12:1-3
How blessed we are, my brothers and sisters in Christ, to be partakers of a New Covenant relationship with Jesus, our Savior, our “Lord” and “priest forever” (Psalm 110: 1&4), and to be directed that we should always “consider Him.”
How blessed we are to be able to “consider Him,” to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2nd Peter 3:18) every single day; He Who is our very Source of new, abundant, and eternal life.
The One Who has saved us forever is the One Whom we now follow, love, and consider, that we may know Him even more completely. In this way, of constantly and joyfully considering Him, we touch the beautiful promise and truth of “Immanuel - God with us” (Matthew 1:23).
Each time that we approach God’s presence as priests unto our Lord and High Priest, that we might minister to Him, we are entering into an immersing and anointed consideration of Jesus.
Every day, as we “run with endurance the race that is set before us,” with our eyes singularly, decidedly, and devotedly fixed “on Jesus;” by continuing to “consider Him” we are blessed to stay on course in this holy race of life towards Him.
The writer of Hebrews had stated near the beginning of his letter, in the first verse of the third chapter, “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and High Priest of our confession.” And now, near the conclusion of his letter, after chapters of in-depth teaching concerning “Jesus, the apostle and High Priest of our confession,” the author once more stated “For consider Him.”
Beloved child of God, I encourage you to consider all that the author of Hebrews has written concerning Jesus, our resurrected Lord and High Priest of a new and better covenant. Consider Him, learn of Him, and keep your eyes fixed upon Jesus. Receive and joyfully obey this word, this blessing, to “consider Him,” always first - for now and forever. Every time you consider Jesus, in spirit and in truth, you are affirming His presence in your life. Yes, consider Jesus with many thanksgivings in His presence today. Hallelujah!
