Summing Up - Let Us Fix Our Eyes On Our Lord & High Priest & His New Covenant

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

Summing Up - Let Us Fix Our Eyes On Our Lord & High Priest & His New Covenant

“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Hebrews 12:1-2

After all of the beautiful in-depth, chapter after chapter, teaching concerning Jesus, our Lord and High Priest of a New Covenant, which the author of Hebrews clearly shared throughout this New Testament document, he summed things up simply and compellingly in this twelfth chapter with the exhortation for God’s New Covenant church to “run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes upon Jesus” with, once more, a reminder of the Psalm 110 prophecy “word of the oath” (Hebrews 7:28) included, in the words, “who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Jesus, Whom we are blessed to be “fixing our eyes” upon every day, is both “Lord” and “High Priest” of the body of Christ, right now, as prophesied by God through David in Psalm 110, and realized by us now forever in our Savior.

We will honor God best as we understand, submit to, rejoice in, and keep our eyes fixed upon the exact expressed truth of Who Jesus Christ is, in His fullness.

Jesus is our resurrected Lord of our lives and High Priest of our faith. I urge you to gratefully and joyfully know your Lord God this way.

Fix yours eyes completely upon Him and, I believe, you will never want to take them off of Him! Yes, keep your eyes fixed upon Jesus and never stop learning of Him.

Every time we minister to our Lord and High Priest, as priests in His presence (1st Peter 2:5-9, Revelation 1:5-6), we are showing God, through our actual real-time ministering in His presence, that we in fact do recognize, care deeply about, and honor our “Lord” and “priest forever” (Psalm 110: 1&4). We enter God’s presence to honor and bless our Lord and High Priest, praising Him for Who He is and for all He has done for us. Ministering to our Lord is always God-honoring time well spent.

The entire confessing body of Christ truly and immediately needs to step into and submit to this great revelation and understanding of Who Jesus Christ is right now, as our Lord and High Priest of a New Covenant, a specifically “ better” (Hebrews 7:22, 8:6) blood covenant of our salvation.

Beloved child of God, let us all keep our eyes fixed upon Jesus, in His fullness, all of the time. He alone is worthy of all of our devotion and obedience. Know Him, and minister to Him, as your Lord and High Priest. And never be afraid to encourage the true church of God to be knowing this supreme truth of our God, of His New Covenant, and of our forever priesthood to Him. Hallelujah!
