Have A Lovingkindness Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

Have A Lovingkindness Thanksgiving

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting”

Psalm 136:1

Let us praise our God today, for His lovingkindness is with us always.

God’s lovingkindness is everlasting. This means that God’s lovingkindness is ever-present, living and abiding within us through the Holy Spirit, of Whom the Apostle Paul wrote, “the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Romans 5:5).

“Lovingkindness” is THE key word in Psalm 136, being repeated at the close of every single one of it’s twenty six verses. This represents the consistency, the everlastingness, and the great balancing aspect of God’s lovingkindness in our lives.

One verse says, “To Him who alone does great wonders, for His lovingkindness is everlasting” (verse 4), while another verse says, “And has rescued us from our adversaries, for His lovingkindness is everlasting” (verse 24). So, you may be having a mountaintop day of “great wonders,” or you may be having a day of great “adversaries,” but God’s lovingkindness is everlasting.

God’s lovingkindness is always with you, always able to bring you through in thanksgiving, always present to get the job done.

So I praise God for His blessings and His lovingkindness is everlasting. I praise God for His presence and constant lovingkindness to deliver me from adversaries and His lovingkindness is everlasting.

How about you and I learn to live a Psalm 136 day, each and every day? I woke up this morning, and His lovingkindness is everlasting. Then I did this or that and His lovingkindness is everlasting. Then this setback thing happened and His lovingkindness is everlasting. God is my deliverer and His lovingkindness is everlasting. Then I went to sleep at the end of the day and His lovingkindness is everlasting.

My point is, look at how blessed we would be, and how constantly aware of God’s love we would be, if we adopted this practice of repeatedly and consistently thanking God for His lovingkindness throughout our day.

Just as Psalm 136 mentions God’s lovingkindness in every verse, let us live in a Psalm 136 thanksgiving to God awareness, throughout every verse of our life this day. Amen. Yes let us have a lovingkindness thanksgiving day today, and every day.

Hallelujah
