Enter Your Rest
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“The one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest”
Hebrews 4:10-11
Oh beloved child of God, make sure you have received and entered into the rest of your God.
Jesus Christ, your Savior and High Priest, has promised you that “I will give you rest” when you take His yoke upon you and learn from Him; specifically learning that “I am gentle and humble in heart” (Matthew 11:28-29).
In His presence, in His yoke, seeing His true nature and disposition towards you, a profound sense of rest is produced for your soul in Jesus Christ. Stepping into the yoke with Jesus, and remaining there, in His rest, is not a luxury. This is a necessity that we must be “diligent to enter.” Apart from the yoke and rest of Jesus, we will always tend to consider our own works instead of His work.
So often, apart from the yoke and rest of our Savior, we strive for things that our God has already taken care of for us.
We need to rest from our works and enter into His rest, so we may see our lives and all of life from the perspective our being in Jesus Christ, in His yoke, in His finished work and full provision for our lives. The more you witness and receive what your Lord has accomplished for you, and the more you witness the beauty of being in His presence, the more you will become truly at rest in Christ and with Christ.
Believe me when I say that you are blessed the best when you are in His rest. Enter His rest now. Praise His name that He gives you true rest in Himself within your new self. Hallelujah!
