God’s Sanctuary Is In Our Midst Forever
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“David My servant will be their prince forever. I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will place them and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in their midst forever”
Here is yet another word of prophecy fulfilled through our Messiah, Jesus Christ, of a new “everlasting covenant of peace” through our “forever” Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6); an eternal covenant, incorporating the perpetual kingship of David with God’s sanctuary and, therefore, His priesthood, “in their midst forever.”
That Ezekiel was not referring to the actual person of David Himself is obvious, for David had died approximately five hundred years earlier.
This word of prophecy directly mirrors God’s great dual promise to David stated in Psalm 110, fulfilled as the dual word of the oath in the book of Hebrews, which we have already looked at so much. In verse one of Psalm 110, the Scripture says “The Lord says to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for your feet’” (Christ as eternal King), and in verse four the Scripture declares “The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizadek’” (Christ as eternal High Priest).
We continue to see, time after time and prophecy after prophecy, that our Father God was repeatedly and steadfastly pointing all of His people towards a time in Which Messiah would reign eternally as both King, from David’s bloodline, and as High Priest, from the eternal priesthood of Melchizadek.
This is our Savior right now in this very moment. Jesus Christ indeed is our forever King and High Priest, and His sanctuary IS in our midst forever, for we ourselves are His sanctuary (1 Peter 2:5)! We are one with Christ our King and High Priest now and forever! Hallelujah!
When you and I activate our priesthood to God, this is when our whole lives begin to declare this truth that, right now, Christ is our King and our High Priest and we are acting upon this truth by being God’s blood purchased, New Covenant priesthood (Revelation 5:9-10), worshiping Him and manifesting that His sanctuary indeed is here, within us, and we are His ministers, before Him in His presence.
Awaken O beloved body of Christ to your holy priesthood connection with your High Priest and Lord forever, Jesus Christ. Yes, enter into agreement and understanding with God concerning His eternal New Covenant purpose for us as His own present day “kingdom and priests to our God” (Revelation 5:10).
Beloved child of God, every single time that you minister to the Lord, your life is proclaiming with great affirmation that, indeed, God’s sanctuary IS in our midst forever! Praise Him today for placing His sanctuary in your midst forever, for this is true and this is the new you! Hallelujah!
