Clothed And In Our Right Mind

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“They came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting down at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind”

Luke 8:35

Oh I praise God that when you and I are sitting down at the feet of Jesus, just as Mary did, that we are also, in that moment, choosing “the good part,” as our Savior stated of Mary (Luke 10 42), and this is precisely where we become “clothed” and in our “right mind.”

In God’s presence is our “right mind;” our right way of seeing, thinking, and abiding in stillness, word, and worship with our Lord.

When we are in God’s presence we are “clothed,” and we know we are clothed, with “the mantle of praise,” with “garments of salvation,” and with “a robe of righteousness” (Isaiah 61: 3&10).

I thank God for this great privilege, and call, that He has given us, of “sitting down at the feet of Jesus,” that we may know Him more and more. He is the One we need to be with at all times.

He is the One Who not only delivers us from evil but Who keeps us in victory and security as we abide with Him, in His presence at His feet.

Whenever we minister to God in His presence as His “royal priesthood” (1st Peter 2:9), humbly at His feet, we truly are clothed and in our right mind, and are so blessed to be able to be grateful for His closeness, salvation, righteousness, and goodness.

Let us practice being at the feet of our Savior, as Mary did, and as this man did, whom God delivered from evil, and let us enjoy God’s wonderful presence so much that we will always want to be coming back to His feet, so we may be “listening to His word” (Luke 10:30), worshiping, clothed, and in our right mind! Hallelujah!
