In The Secret Place Of Your Presence
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man; You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues”
Psalm 31:20 O the great favor and privilege our God gives us, to minister to Him “in the secret place of Your presence.”
Here is one more blessed reason why our Lord Jesus wants us to be alive and active as His kingdom of priests, ministering in His presence, because God is able to purify us and keep us pure as we abide with Him “in the secret place of Your presence.”
When we are not “in the secret place of Your presence” we are constantly being bombarded with “the conspiracies of man” and “the strife of tongues.”
In this world, and in this religious world too, “the conspiracies of man” and “the strife of tongues” are always present, demanding center stage, demanding our attention, and our response, even while ignoring our true life in Jesus Christ.
“The conspiracies of man” and “the strife of tongues” can only corrode our pure faith, hope, love, and even our sensing of our gracious indwelling Savior, Jesus Christ.
God desires to “hide” you “in the secret place of His presence” from these things so you may be refreshed in Him, strengthened in His presence, renewed in the wisdom and the word of God, and sheltered in Him, Who truly is our one and only way, truth, and life.
“The conspiracies of man” and “the strife of tongues” can only bring you down, confuse you, and tie you up. Whereas “the secret place of Your presence” will always lift you up, bring clarity, and set you free.
When we are ministering to our Lord, God is actually hiding us in the secret place of His presence. He keeps us secretly in His shelter so we may be filled with Him.
I encourage you to step into “the secret place of Your presence” today, blessedly away from “the strife of tongues” and “the conspiracies of man,” and let God hide you in Himself from all that is harmful even while He blesses and refreshes you as you are blessing Him. Hallelujah!
