Cultivating The Garden Of Life Within You

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man. and said to him, ‘Where are you?’ He said, ‘I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself’”

Genesis 3:8-10

God created Adam and Eve for a life with Himself. He gave them the garden of Eden to live in and cultivate, and then He came to the garden to fellowship with them.

Through the blood of Jesus Christ, our Savior, you and I have been re-created and have become beloved children of God (1st John 3:1-2), with His garden of life within us, where we come, as priests in His presence, to fellowship with our God.

What God originally desired for Adam and Eve, He has graciously blessed us with, in Jesus Christ, which is continuous communion with our Lord in His presence.

When God said “Where are you?” He was expressing His desire for Adam and Eve to be with Him, in His presence, in the garden.

We know that sin, with its’s accompanying sense of guilt, fear, and separation, had entered the picture, so Adam and Eve hid from God’s presence, and the fellowship of the garden was broken.

Praise God, you and I have the presence of the Holy Spirit within us at all times, and we have become God’s “kingdom and priests” (Revelation 5:10), so we all might minister to Him in His presence, and fulfill our gracious God’s desire for us, that we would be with Him in fellowship at all times, even as our Savior has promised us, saying, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

Beloved of our Lord, cultivate the garden within you today. Praise God for His re-creation of you as His child. Praise Him for placing His garden of life within you, and praise Him for His presence abiding within you, as your constant “tree of life,” all so you might experience divine, renewing, joyful, protective, and intimate fellowship with your Abba Father on a continuous basis.

When you step into the garden to be with your God, you are walking in life and in the fulfillment of God’s expressed Genesis-to-Revelation desire, for all of humanity to come to Him, acknowledging His Lordship, His gift of life, and His presence within, so we might live in His fullness, for Him, in His most blessed garden of life.

Oh yes, cultivate your garden today. Spend time with God in your Eden; walk with Him and talk with Him as a grateful child and a priest in His presence. Hallelujah!
