See The New You
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come”
2 Corinthians 5:17
In Jesus Christ you have become a new creation.
All the old things have passed away and now, as a beloved child of God, you are blessed to behold “new things.”
I often read this Scripture for my own life by substituting the word “when” for “if,” meaning, when I am in Christ, that this is when I know I am a new creation and this is when I am able to see that the old things are gone and beautiful new things have come.
We really need to see ourselves from the standpoint of actually being in Christ, in this moment, so we may touch this truth, indeed be transformed by this truth, that in Jesus Christ we truly are “new” and He gives us “new things” to see.
“Behold” is the word Paul uses, which means to look, to see and understand. I have learned for myself that it is in the actual practice of seeing myself in Christ, as a new creation, that I am enabled to “behold” what it is He wants me to see. In other words, I have to see myself as “new” and “in Christ” first, before I can see the “new things” God has for me.
I encourage you to practice this as well. Identify yourself first as a beloved child of God, a new creature in Jesus Christ. And then, from this superior interior point of view, “behold” all the new things God is giving you so you may truly be free from the past and have peace in the present, all while you continue to joyfully “Behold” the new things that have come to you in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
