Grow In The Grace And Knowledge Of Jesus Christ
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity”
2 Peter 3:18
Now here is where true spiritual growth occurs, “in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Growing in grace is the same as growing in the true knowledge of Jesus Christ.
In the opening chapter of his Gospel, John wrote of Jesus that He is,“full of grace and truth” and that “grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ” (John 1:14&17). When you and I finally decide to fix, and stay fixed, with our eyes upon Jesus Himself (Hebrews 12:2), this is when we blessedly realize and become caught up within the greater revelation that grace and truth meet perfectly in the Son of God.
Grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and He will capture your heart forever, by His grace.
This is the true growth, the “grace and truth” growth, realizing the meaning and purpose of grace by seeing Jesus. To know Him is to see His grace. To see His grace is to know Him.
This is our true growth, in Christ Himself. It is just as the apostle Paul wrote in His letter to the Ephesians, “we are to grow up in all aspects into Him Who is the head, even Christ” (4:15).
Thank You Jesus. Knowing You has become, and is; our life, our joy, our protection, our covering, our direction, our peace, our fullness, our purpose. You have paid for our sins, and have purchased us with Your blood, and You have won our hearts forever through Your loving grace. May we grow up always, every day and in all aspects, into You,“ in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Yes Lord. To You “be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity.” Hallelujah!
