Since We Have Confidence To Enter The Holy Place
Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne:
“Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith”
Hebrews 10:19-22
Praise God! For the past few days we have been seeing how Jesus Christ entered the holy place of God, with His Own sacrificial New Covenant blood, in order to obtain eternal redemption “for us” (Hebrews 9:24, 10:11-14, 1:3).
So now, because of what Jesus Christ, our resurrected “Lord” and “priest forever”(fulfilling Psalm 110) has accomplished “for us” (Hebrews 9:24), “we have confidence to enter the holy place, by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way.” Our “new and living way” is the New Covenant of our Lord Jesus Christ.
And what, you may ask, are we going to do in the holy place?
What we are specifically doing, according to this text, is to “draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith” so we may be with our “great priest over the house of God.” Yes, we enter the holy place to minister to our Lord, our “great priest,” as His kingdom of priests (1st Peter 2:5-9, Revelation 1:5-6). This has all been accomplished for us “by the blood of Jesus.”
We honor our Lord God when we recognize, yield to, and live by His “New Covenant in My blood” (Luke 22:20).
We honor our Lord when we enter the holy place with “confidence” so we may “draw near” to God in His presence.
Yes, have this understanding, this “confidence” today, and “draw near” to God by entering “the holy place” so you may be with Him, your Lord and High Priest forever. Praise Him, thank Him, and be grateful to Him in His presence.
Every time that you minister to the Lord you are declaring, with your life, that “we have a great priest over the house of God.”Hallelujah!
