Serving & Singing To God

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne:

“Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful singing”

Psalm 100:2

When you come before the Lord with joyful singing, you are serving your God with gladness.

What kind of serving? The service of one who ministers to the Lord.

God desires this service from us for this is where we bond with our Maker in real time, being ever conformed to His image.

This is where we extol God’s name, in His presence.

It is not uncommon for us to think that when we are serving in the Gospel, to believers and non-believers alike, that this is serving the Lord. And it is in the broad sense.

But the disciple of Christ, the minister of the Lord, has learned the difference between serving in the outer court, ministering to mankind, and serving in the inner court, ministering to and serving the Lord exclusively.

This is the type of service that is being called for in this Psalm. “Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with joyful singing.”

When you come before God’s presence gladly, knowing Who you are meeting with, and you bless your Lord with joyful singing, you are truly obeying and fulfilling this word from God.

We are so blessed to be able to bless our Lord.

Behold in this verse how much you are blessing your Abba Father by coming gladly into His presence, singing joyfully to your Lord, knowing you are actually gladdening the heart of God by your being glad in His presence, spending that precious time together.

Oh Yes, serve the Lord with gladness and come before His presence with singing... now.... and forever. Hallelujah!
